Sample Itinerary
Your hosts, Dorette and her C’est si Bon! Cooking School staff, invite you to
beautiful restored 14th Century watermill in the small village of Poudenas.
Included in Your Stay:
Accommodations at La Belle de la Gasonne the former legendary restaurantauberge.
Six petit dejenuer - breakfasts - of unctuous local yogurts, butter, honey,
fresh fruit, confitures, croissants and baguettes.

DAY ONE
Arrival, Exploring and Aperitifs Tasting
After your arrival at the train station you will either drive or be met by your
host who will take you to your home for the next few days, the beautiful and
charming La Belle de la Gasconne in the small village of Poudenas. If you
come with your own car you will be sent directions to come directly to the
millhouse.
Settling in.
After a walk through the village, you'll return for an aperitif tasting at the
millhouse. Each night we’ll try a different delicious regional aperitif. Dorette,
and her entourage are experts in teaching you the “trucs” of enjoying
typically southwestern French dishes: garbure – a delicious soup, apple
desserts, patés, rillettes, duck confit, foie gras, etc.

DAY TWO
Local Market, Gourmet Lunch, and Farm Visit

After petit dejeuner we’ll visit the Mezin Sunday market
(almost everyday we can point you to a nearby outdoor market)
Tres Typique Sunday Long Lunch – in a bucolic setting with fabulous regional
duck dishes!
Apres lunch visit a local farm and burn your initials into your very own long
wooden cooking spoon! Enjoy sweets prepared from the Farm’s fields and
orchards; such as Saracen Cookies and Buckwheat Cake with Plums. Learn
more about primitive cooking and sustainable farm life in France.
DAY THREE
History of La Belle Gasconne, Pastry Class, Gelise River Walk
Petit Dejeuner.

After breakfast enjoy visiting the kitchen and learn the history of la Belle de
la Gasconne’s Chef, Micheline starred Marie-Claude Gracia.

Before dinner walk along the Gelise River.

Visit Marche In Lavardac. With a special charcuterie tasting.
Lunch on Your Own.
Free Afternoon.
Visit Le Coin de Marie in Poudenas.
