Memorials_files/Memorial Poem: Prayer choices
P100
I am with you still, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone-I am with you still, in each new dawn.

In Our Hearts
We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.
We little knew that morning,
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

P102
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times of my life, there is only
one set of FOOTPRINTS. I don’t
understand why when I need You the
most, You would leave me.”
Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smiling' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.
P103
I die but my love does not die,
I shall love you in heaven
As I have on this earth.
(St. John B.)
Life is not ended,
For those who have been faithful.
P106
I am rejoining the ones I loved,
And I am waiting for those I love.
P107 a
Footprints
“Lord, You said that once I decided to
follow You,
You’d walk with me all the way.
The Lord replied, “My precious child, I
love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering
when you see only one set of footprints –
IT WAS THEN THAT I CARRIED YOU.”
P107 b
Your gentle face and patient smile
With sadness we recall,
You had a kindly word for each
And died beloved by all.
The voice is mute and stilled the heart
That loved us well and true,
Ah, bitter was the trial to part
From one so good as you.
You are not forgotten loved one
Nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.
We miss you now, our hearts are sore,
As time goes by we miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face,
No one can fill your empty place.
P108
When I must leave you for a little while,
please go on bravely with a gallant smile
and for my sake and in my name, live on
and do all the things the same.
Spend not your life in empty days, but fill
each waking hour in useful ways.
Reach out your hand in comfort and cheer,
and I in turn, will comfort you and hold
you near.
P109
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
P110
O Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the
things I cannot change, the courage to
change the things I can, and the wisdom
to know the difference.
P111
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green
pastures; He leadeth me beside the still
waters.
He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for
Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff
they comfort me. Thou preparest a table
before me in the presence of mine
enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and
mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life; and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
P115
I have livedGod knows that I have lived.
I have lovedAnd in return have been loved.
I have givenAnd received a hundredfold.
I have sufferedAnd kept the pains within myself.
I have searchedAnd with your help have found.
I have acceptedAnd borne it with a smile
And now, for you, dear God.
I have died.
P116
P112
My children, I died. I am leaving this
valley. I beg you, never forget me!
Stay united among yourselves, stay firm in
our faith.
Soon we shall be reunited in heaven.
I died but my love does not die.
I shall love you in heaven as I have on this
earth.
(St. John B.)
P113
His/Her death left a deep wound in our
hearts.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for him/
her.
P114
You’re gone but not forgotten as dawns
another day. All the tears we have cried
for you will never go away. The Lord took
you to his Mansion to let you rest in peace.
He will leave the golden gates open until
we meet again.
We watched you suffer day by day, and
could not help in any way, but just stood
by and saw you pass into our Saviors’ arms
at last. In tears we watched you sinking,
we watched you fade away. Our hearts
were almost broken you fought so hard to
stay. But when we saw you sleeping so
peacefully, free from pain, we could not
wish you back to suffer that again.
P117
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy
one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles
when day is done.
I’d like to leave an echo, whispering softly
down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times and
bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry
before the sun and to remember happy
memories that I leave behind when day is
done.
P118
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was
not to be. So He put His arms around you
and whispered "Come to ME". With tearful
eyes we watched you, and saw you pass
away. Although we love you dearly, we
could not make you stay. A golden heart
stopped beating, hard working hands at
rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

doux souvenirs.
Un chapitre achevé, une page tournée, une
vie bien vécue, un repos bien mérité.
P231
Il (Elle) n’a vécu que ce que vit la rose;
l’espace d’un instant.
P232

P246
