IARLJ - Association française des juges de l`asile

L’Association internationale des juges de l’asile (IARLJ, sigle anglophone) a été fondée en
1997( fondation officielle avec enregistrement, l’association existait depuis 1995,de facto,
voir ci-dessous) à Varsovie réunit tous les deux ans une conférence mondiale( en dernier lieu,
à Bled, en Slovénie, les 6-9 septembre 2011 ; voir liste ci-dessous)et, plus fréquemment, des
réunions de « chapter(s) », c'est-à-dire des réunions par continents( pour l’Europe, en dernier
lieu, à Lisbonne », les 27-30 septembre 2010, à Lisbonne) avec des thèmes d’études ou
ateliers(Workshops), des contributions de juges ou d’experts(universitaires, juristes
d’administrations ou avocats spécialisés) qu’on pourra consulter, pour beaucoup d’entre eux
sur le site de l’association.(Publications, conferences)
L’adhésion se fait individuellement sur internet (application form, ci-joint)) et il y a lieu
d’insister sur ce point : tout juge français peut (et selon nous, doit) adhérer à l’IARLJ. Cela
permet d’être informé des activités de I’ARLJ, de se rendre aux conférences et, si possible d’y
participé activement. Cela permettra de renforcer le rôle des français. On soulignera ici
l’excellente impression qu’a fait sur nos collègues néerlandais, anglo-irlandais et autres (
polonais, slovènes,) habitués de ces conférences la venue de cinq magistrats français 0 la
conférence de Lisbonne de 2010, qu’à vrai dire seul un heureux concours de circonstance a
rendu possible.
Il faut savoir que la cheville ouvrière de l’association sur le Plan logistique est Liesbeth van
de Meeberg, Office Manager of the IARLJ., secrétaire du président Hugo de Groot, lui-même
président mondial de l’IARLJ, président à la cour administrative de Harlem, aux Pays-Bas.

sont sur le site.de l’IARLJ. En cas de difficulté particulière, notamment de difficulté à comprendre l’anglais spécificique
de l’IARLJ, s’adresser au bureau (notamment vice-présidents et secrétaire général)

Since the establishment of the IARLJ, eight world conferences have been organized: in London - England in 1995,
in Nijmegen - The Netherlands in 1997, in Ottawa - Canada in 1998, in Bern - Switzerland in 2000, in Wellington New Zealand in 2002, in Stockholm - Sweden in 2005, in Mexico City - Mexico in 2006 and in Cape Town - South
Africa in 2009.
Subsequent to each of the conferences, the organizers and the Association have published the papers presented
at the conference.
