Equal opportunities between men and women
seem to be one of the universally agreed tenets of our society:
the case is settled and hardly anyone now dares challenge the
verdict. And yet women continue to suffer from discrimination on
a wide range of grounds in the world of work: recruitment, wages,
promotion, maternity, the work-life balance … In all sectors and
at all ages women are faced with the same inertia, the same
prejudices and the same reluctance. This Forum came into being
for the purpose of changing all this. I welcome the contribution it
can make to altering attitudes and achieving genuine progress
so that all women will truly be equal to men in all areas of life,
including the workplace.

Women and Men as allies for greater equality and performance
Men have a vital role to play in creating inclusive workplaces. But too often they remain on the margins
of gender initiatives (or not involved at all). To address this gap, JUMP dedicates its 7th Forum to
finding new ways to partner with men and end inequalities at work.
