Uponor is proud to be the supplier of underfloor
heating to the new mountain restaurant at
Ramundberget ski resort in Sweden. The
restaurant is situated at an altitude of 1,000
metres, measures 280 square metres, and was
completed in February 2009.“We wanted
something more than just an ordinary, timber
mountain restaurant. It was important that the
building was in harmony with its surroundings, and
it really is,” says Anders Östring, managing

director at Ramundberget ski resort. “The
combination of underfloor heating and a needlefelt carpet keeps the floor dry and soundabsorbing.”
“This was an unusual job, transporting all materials
up to the summit and installing the underfloor
heating in this circular building,” says Per Anders
Skalberg at installers Rörmokarn i Järvsö. “But
everything went ok. We often use Uponor’s
systems and we like them. Especially the manifold
Q&E, it’s great and easy to handle.”
“We were very pleased to be involved in this
extraordinary building. Underfloor heating always
fits better than radiators when architectural design
is the main focus,” says Uponor Project Manager
Joakim Jönson.
