Biographie
Fabrice Cavarretta is a professor in Management and Entrepreneurship at
ESSEC Business School. He was trained at Ecole Polytechnique (BA Math),
Stanford/ENSTA (Ms CS), Harvard (MBA) and INSEAD (PhD). He teaches
mainly the Leadership and Entrepreneurial Manager course in master
programs, coordinates the PhD Entrepreneurship seminar, and recently
developed Corporate Venturing course for executives. Prof. Cavarretta's
research focuses on the various paradigms Entrepreneurs and Managers
use to develop new ventures. He has 12 years of operational management
experience, including stints as division General Manager in a large
media/telecom firm and founder of a social network start-up.

PhD de l'INSEAD et docteur en Sciences de Gestion de Paris-Dauphine,
Fabrice Cavarretta a été également élèves à l'Ecole Polytechnique (Eng),
Stanford/ENSTA (Ms CS) et Harvard (MBA). Il enseigne l'Entrepreneuriat et
le leadership en MBA et formation continue. Sa thèse explorait le lien entre
les facteurs organisationnel (équipe, leader, ressources) et la performance
en se focalisant en particulier sur les cas extrêmes (succès et échecs). Sa
recherche actuelle porte sur les doctrines managériales, et en particulier le "
lean management ", que ce soit dans les contextes entrepreneuriaux ou
intrapreneuriaux. Fabrice Cavarretta a 12 ans d'expérience de management
opérationnel, dont comme directeur de division d'un grand groupe de
média/télécom, et fondateur d'une startup dans le domaine des réseaux
sociaux.
Thèmes de recherche
Organizational Theory focusing on extremely low (e.g. Governance) or high
(e.g; Creativity, Entrepreneurship) organizational outcomes. I explore the
factors that may induce organizational risk, such as team composition,
leadership, resources.
