1) Don’t forget the auxiliary verb: avoir or être
LEARN WHICH VERBS TAKE ETRE !
2) Add on the past participle :
REMEMBER : ETRE VERBS
AGREES WITH THE SUBJECT

3) Don’t forget the irregular past participles :
LEARN THEM
4) Questions :
if you don’t use a question word or phrase
FLIP ROUND THE PRONOUN AND THE AUXILIARY
Tu as mangé ton déjeuner
as-tu mangé ton déjeuner ?
5) Negative : sandwich the auxiliary verb with the ‘ne’ & ‘pas’
e.g
j’ai mangé mon déjeuner
je me suis levé tard
je n’ai pas mangé mon déjeuner
je ne me suis pas levé tard
