Notre invitée, professeure Davie, nous présentera l’évolution de son approche à la
sociologie de la religion tout au long de sa carrière universitaire, et entamera une analyse
sur l’approche comparative spécifiquement, y compris ses expériences en contexte
français, suédois et états-unien, qu’elle illustrera à l’aide de travaux comparatifs
suivants :

Assessing and developing international
research collaborations: dialogue and
discussion (moderator Solange Lefebvre)
Professor Davie will outline and reflect on her approach to the sociology of religion, from
her initial research investigations to the transformation of a research approach over an
academic career. She will then apply these research lenses to a discussion of comparative
research in the sociology of religion, including her experiences within the French,
Swedish and U.S. context.
Professor Davie will discuss the projects below to illustrate the rewards and challenges of
comparative work:
