Create a short video (2-5 min.) to tell us about your
positive experiences in this pathway!
Who:
Students who are in year 2 or 3 of the Prework Training
program (PWT) or are in the Training for a Semiskilled
Trade (TST) program
Prize:
Best video will receive a $300 gift card for Future Shop
When:
Deadline for video entries, June 6th, 2014
Video:
A two to five minute video, telling us about why you enjoy being part the WOTP pathway and positive experiences that you have had in your of particular program (PWT or TST). Your video should answer at least 2 or more of these questions: 1. What has been your best work placement experience? 2. What skills or experiences has WOTP given you that will help you get a job? 3. What do you enjoy most about WOTP? 4. If there were no WOTP, what would school be like for you? Prize will be awarded to the video judged to be the best submitted. Prize is to be shared amongst the winning video team. Gift card can be used for online One (1) $300 Gift Card for Future Shop
purchases. Teacher Prizes: The top three teachers with the most video entries from their class(es) will each receive a $50 gift card for Amazon. Video Contest: • WOTP Students can participate in this contest as a class or individually.
• Students are encouraged to be creative with this project, but the aim is for a
“talking head” video that highlights some positive aspects and experiences in
WOTP. A positive message told from the student’s perspective.
• Video’s can be interview style, casual conversation, anything that allows them
to address the questions (two to four questions)
• Each participant will need to sign a release to appear in their video(s). In the
case of minors (students), a parent or guardian must also sign the consent
form. The video, or parts of the video, may be used for educational purposes
with LEARN.
Completed Videos: • Saved on a DVD or USB memory stick.
• Deadline for submitting videos is June 6th, 2014.
• Videos must be submitted to your school board WOTP consultant
Each entry needs to be in a sealed envelope and should include: 1. DVD or USB memory stick (Media will not be returned)
2. Information sheet for all students involved in project (Appendix 1)
3. Fully signed consent forms for each participant in each video. In the case of
minors (students), a parent or guardian must also sign the consent form.

By entering the "I ♥ WOTP" Contest, you grant LEARN / DEEN* the rights to use your videos in promotional and educational materials (e.g. web clips, DVD, presentations, etc.). Video entries not accompanied by consent forms for each participant will be refused. *
