7 weeks: June 15-July 31, 2015
Ages 2.5-12
Semaine 1: Les fruits d’été
« Fraises, framboises, cerises, pêches et abricots. » Summer is full of delicious fruits the
children will sample and use in cooking projects each day.
Semaine 2: La fête de la musique
Celebrate summer the French way with music! Children will sing, create and enjoy music
made “pour danser.”
Semaine 3: Les astres
“Le soleil” is out for long summer days and “les étoiles” shine brightly in the night sky.
Children will craft various summer lights and compare the day and the night.
Semaine 4: Le 14 juillet
Vive la France! Spend a week tout en

to celebrate La Bastille. Children
will make French flags, taste French cheese and make firework art.
Semaine 5: La peinture à travers le portrait
Our “petits artistes” will be inspired by painters like Monet, Van Gogh
and Picasso to create their own self-portraits.
Semaine 6: Les animaux marins
The children will next discover animals typically found in the water through
play and crafts.
Semaine 7: L’île au trésor
To end the summer the children will head to Treasure Island with sand and
water art and play and a “chasse au trésor”.
