Great First Weeks!
What a great back to school it’s been! Students are settling into their new routines, making new friends,
getting familiar with their new teacher and so we are off to a great start!

Non Instructional Day, Monday, September 23rd
Teachers are spending the day on Numeracy and Digital Technology. Children do not attend
school on that day.
Photo Day on Tuesday, September 24th
All students will be photographed. Proofs will be sent home for you to preview before you buy. Wear solid
colour clothing for best results. You will be able to select your looks and desired packages after viewing
your proofs. Be ready to bring your smiles on picture day!
BBQ/Meet The Teacher – Thursday, September 26th
We hope you will be able to join us for our Meet the Teacher night on the 26th. We will start with a BBQ
efficiently organized by your P.A.C at 4:30-5:45 in the gym, followed with the Meet the Teachers’ Night in
the teachers’ classrooms from 6:00 to 7:00. See you there!
Kiss and Go @Riverdale
Our Kiss and Go lane is working very well. Thank you for using that lane to drop your children promptly in
the morning. Kissing and Not Letting Go create traffic jam and frustration in the queue J
Xing Guards@ Riverdale
Our Grade 5 students volunteer for that special job. Please be extra vigilant when you see them. X-Country Season
Our country season will start next week. Mme Moore, Mme Kibbe and Mrs. Eichenforf will look after
cross-country practices on Tuesday at 2:45 and the runs at Bear Creek Park on Wednesdays after school.
