BIOSPHERE RESERVES. On 20-22 February 1997 representatives of insular Biosphere Reserves and of related
organisations met on the island of La Palma. Objectives of the meeting were both to reach an agreement with the aim of
creating an Insular Biosphere Reserve Network and to strengthen cooperation by improving accesibility to electronic
communications.
