Alice is teaching French, Isabelle is an arts teacher in a
'collège', a High school in Saint Ouen near Paris.
It is the kind of school that is associated with violent behaviour
of youngsters, with students failing to pass their exams.
Director Clara Bouffartigue however, wanted to see for herself
- she decided to film these two teachers at work with their
students during a full year.
The film became something of a journey into the land of
knowledge, into the realm of human relationships and
adolescence - full of movement and...unexpected twists and
turns, like all journeys.
