Mr Houbbion, carpenter and interior architect
who collaborated with Baron Horta, designed
the decoration. Colours and shapes, directly
inspired by the nature, are concentrated in a
pure Art Nouveau style, the so-called organic
architecture. The huge picture windows
typically represent the quick transition
between Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
In this puppet cafe, just nearby the "Manneken
Pis", visitors travel in the past of Brussels.
This place is the official address of various
folkloric confraternities. The beer list is

church of the city, a covered market has
been erected in 1874 in a neo-Renaissance
style. It became the economic lung of the
