Public
Cette formation s’adresse aux étudiants de toute nationalité ayant acquis un niveau
élémentaire (ou débutant) en langue française. Elle débouche sur l’obtention d’un
Diplôme Universitaire.
Objectifs
Il permet d’acquérir un niveau intermédiaire en français (compréhension et expression
dans le cadre de la vie quotidienne) et d’atteindre la capacité linguistique et
culturelle nécessaire pour poursuivre des études supérieures à l’Université de Corse
(niveau B1).
Les cours
Les cours se déroulent d’octobre à mai et sont dispensés en petits groupes (20
personnes maximum), pour un enseignement « personnalisé » à l’écoute de chaque
étudiant.

The Courses
The courses take place from October to May and are given to small groups of
students (maximum 20 students per class) to provide each student with a personalised
training adapted to their specific needs.

Terms of enrolment
Students can apply only if they have graduated from secondary education in their
country of origin and if they have proof of an elementary level in French
corresponding to level A1/A2 of the European Language Reference Board.

Corsica is known as « the Island of Beauty » because of its highly preserved natural state.
The island enjoys a profitable geographical location for it is at the junction of several
great Mediterranean regions: only a few miles away from the neighbouring island of
Sardinia, a three hours boat journey from Tuscany
and less than one hour by plane from the French Riviera.

Evaluation
La validation s’effectue par contrôle continu : activités de compréhension et d’expression
écrites et orales, de lexique et de grammaire, évaluation des modules de spécialité.
Les étudiants ont la possibilité de compléter leur formation par un TCF (Test de
Connaissance du Français). Le TCF est un test de référence dans le monde professionnel.
Il est obligatoire pour s’inscrire dans les établissements d’enseignement supérieur
français. L’Université de Corse est un centre de passation du TCF. Il est organisé une
session par an, généralement en avril (date variable en fonction du calendrier).
Poursuite des études
Le DU FLE permet aux étudiants internationaux de s’inscrire dans toutes les filières de
l’Université de Corse.
Le TCF permet quant à lui de s’inscrire dans tous les établissements d’enseignement
supérieur français.
Des cours de Français Langue Etrangère en LV2 (Langue Vivante 2) sont également
proposés dans toutes les filières de l’Université de Corse, ainsi que pour les étudiants
Erasmus (module de 44 heures).

Corte in a few words
Corte is the cultural and historical capital of Corsica, Corte or Corti is now a small town
which has developed thanks to the re-establishment of the University in 1881 after a
popular movement. Located right in the middle of Corsica, the town is surrounded by the
island’s most beautiful mountains and is only one hour and a half minutes away from
Bastia and Ajaccio, Corsica’s most important towns.
Things to be done, places to be seen…
At the University:
The CCU which stands for the University’s Cultural Centre organizes about twenty evening
workshops, a course of lectures and a musical and theatrical program.
On the other hand, the SUAPS (University Service of Physical and Sports Activities) is in
charge of sports and physical activities and offers a large range of indoor and outdoor
activities (gymnastics, dance, weight training, handball, volley-ball, soccer, rugby,
climbing, boxing, swimming, aqua-aerobics, horse-riding, hiking, etc.)
During the whole academic year, the CROUS, the students associations and students unions
are organizing meetings and evening entertainments maintaining the campus spirit alive.

Profiter d’un environnement exceptionnel
The Courses:
La Corse est surnommée « l’île de beauté » en raison de la qualité de son environnement
naturel, en grande partie préservée.
Elle dispose d’une situation géographique exceptionnelle, au carrefour de plusieurs
grandes régions de Méditerranée : à seulement quelques kilomètres de l’île voisine, la
Sardaigne, à trois heures en bateau de la Toscane et à moins d’une heure d’avion de la
Côte d’Azur.
Corte en quelques mots...
Capitale historique et culturelle de la Corse, Corte ou Corti est aujourd’hui une petite ville
qui doit son développement à la réouverture de l’Université de Corse en 1981, suite à un
mouvement populaire. Située au centre de la Corse, la ville est entourée des plus belles
montagnes de l’île et se trouve à seulement 1 h et 1 h 30 de trajet des villes de Bastia et
Ajaccio.

A l’Université :
Le Centre Culturel Universitaire (CCU) propose une vingtaine d’ateliers du soir, un cycle
de conférences, ainsi qu’une programmation musicale et théâtrale.
Le Service Universitaire des Activité Physiques et Sportives (SUAPS) propose une large
gamme d’activités en salle et en extérieur (gymnastique, danse, musculation, handball,
volley-ball, football, rugby, escalade, boxe, natation, aquagym, équitation, randonnée en
montagne, etc).
Le CROUS, les associations et les syndicats universitaires organisent soirées étudiantes,
rencontres et animations tout au long de l’année.

Assessment
Admission is dependent on the completion of required coursework in activities of oral and
reading comprehension and expression, of lexical and grammar exercises and assessment
of specialized units. Students can also complete their training by a TCF (Test de
Connaissance du Français) which is a test of knowledge in
the French language that serves as a reference point in the professional world and
is necessary when applying to any French higher education institution. The University of
Corsica is a test centre and organises a session a year, generally in April,
depending on the University timetable.
For further studies
The DU FLE allows international students to apply for all the courses
of study at the University of Corsica.
The TCF allows to apply to all the French higher education institutions.
Courses of French as a 2nd foreign language are also offered to students
in every course of study at the University of Corsica,
and this also applies to Erasmus students (44 hours per unit).
