rim, rich, bramble-like aroma with a whiff of oak,
sweet, fullish, fleshy, chewy, with its richness and
alcohol (13.5%) masking the tannins. Very

Châteay Richelieu, Rich warm, generous style but
harmonious for the vintage with Cabernet Franc
adding aromatic freshness. On the palate it’s ripe,
round, full and suave. Up to 2010

the vintage, this blend of 75% Merlot and 25%
Cabernet Franc is another top-notch effort from
Fronsac. The winemaking consultant is Stéphane
Derenoncourt, which no doubt explains the wine’s
wonderful texture, sweetness, seductiveness, and

Vin coloré. Nez puissant et chocolaté. Le profil en
bouche est identique à Richelieu mais avec plus
d’épaisseur et de largeur. Le goût en milieu de
bouche ainsi que le corps sont aussi supérieurs.
Très belle longueur dense et puissante, quasi
parfumée par le fruit et les fleurs. Un must.

Il y a dans ce vin une note raffinée due à une
texture tanique subtile faite d’un gras fin et de
beaucoup de goût. Ceci dit, je l’espérais plus en
épaisseur au milieu. Belle longueur. Style
longiforme.
