Qualification Repertoire Limitations
Qualification Repertoire Limitations Qualification Competitors may choose a variation from any age range for the qualification video (remember, if accepted into the competition, dancers will then be required to choose from the age-‐specific lists for the live competition performances). It must be noted again that for all dancers competing in the younger age groups that it is strongly encouraged that teachers/coaches modify the choreography to make the variations age and skill appropriate. Competitors, especially at the younger ages, will be judged also on potential. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Approved Repertoire Lower Level Girls, age 11-‐13 Coppelia, Swanilda Variation, Act I Don Quixote, Act II, Cupid variation Fairy Doll Variation Giselle, Act I Peasant Pas de Deux Variation Harlequinade variation La Fille Mal Gardee, Lise Variation from Pas de Deux Napoli Second Variation from Pas de Six Sleeping Beauty, Bluebird variation Sleeping Beauty, Prologue, Woodland Glade Fairy Variation Swan Lake, Act I Pas de Trois Girl’s First or Second Variation Talisman Variation NOTE: • All pieces must be two minutes (2:00) or less • All the above variations are very difficult for this age group.
