Division 2 Champs Results
We went into the meet with a stated goal to stay out of
the bottom 3, to stay in Div 2s. Many teams bounce
back and forth between the top of one Division and the
bottom of the next, we didn’t want to do that. But by
the end of finals Saturday it became apparent that we
would make our goal and the team needed to shift
mental gears. We didn’t’ need to fear doing poorly in
order to avoid a negative outcome, we didn’t need to
look backwards anymore. When we started counting
from the top, we started racing for a different reason.
We were racing then to see what else we could do,
what doors we could open individually and for the
team. We started racing to win, not racing to not lose,
and it was glorious. To race because you can, to race
because you want to, to race for the joy of it. That is
what ROC is about. A Division 2 team again, always
moving forward.

ROC Christmas Fund
We raised $500 which was used to purchase gift cards
that were then given to a local family in need of a
Christmas boost. Here is the recipient’s emailed
response after receiving the gift:

me a lot to give my kids a great Christmas
that they need.
Merry Christmas!”
