Introducing C20 Turkey and Online Survey
Dear all,
We are very happy to announce the launch of the 2015 Civil 20 (C20) policy consultation process. As you
may know, on 1 December 2014 the G20 Presidency rotated to Turkey. This means that, after a year of
hard work from the Australian C20 Steering Committee, it is now the turn of Turkish civil society to
organise the 2015 C20.
C20 Turkey is being facilitated by a group of 14 Turkish civil society organisations, working to tackle
inequalities and promote sustainable, inclusive development at national and international levels. We are
excited to be taking on the responsibility of facilitating the C20 this year.
The 2015 C20 launches today with a multi-language online survey to help set the agenda for the next
year. This survey is open to anyone, and we really encourage you to take part. The survey will be live for
approximately 6 weeks, and will form the first phase of the 2015 policy consultation process. You can
read more about what will happen next here.
Right now, there are two ways you can get involved:
1. Take part in the survey here and tell us which issues you think should be on civil society’s
agenda in 2015.
2. Share the survey with your colleagues, networks and anyone else you think might be
interested (survey short link: http://bit.ly/1xTvE4c).

About the C20
The C20 is a platform for civil society organisations around the world to engage with G20 governments
on the key issues that concern them. It brings civil society together to help influence the G20, by acting as
an interface with G20 decision-makers. First hosted by Russian civil society, the C20 is an officiallyrecognised G20 engagement group. The C20 has been hosted by Russian civil society (2013), Australian
civil society (2014), and will now be hosted by Turkish civil society.

C20 Turkey is being facilitated by a group of 14 Turkish civil society organisations, working across a
range of national and international issues.
C20 Turkey
Each year since it began, the C20 has run a policy consultation process to engage national and
international civil society organisations in developing joint civil society policy recommendations to the
G20. These recommendations are then used as the basis for joint advocacy and influencing work with
G20 governments for the duration of the Presidency. You can read the recommendations from C20
Australia here. This year, C20 Turkey is seeking to make this consultation process wider and more
participatory than ever before. We are using a range of on and offline consultation mechanisms to
encourage as many people as possible to take part. You can read more about how we work here.

Bonjour à tous et toutes,
Nous avons le plaisir d’annoncer le lancement du processus de consultation sur les politiques du Civil 20
(C20) de 2015. Comme vous le savez peut-être, le 1er décembre 2014, la présidence du G20 est passée à
la Turquie. Cela signifie que, après une année de travail acharné du Comité directeur du C20 de
l’Australie, c’est au tour à la société civile turque de coordonner le C20 de 2015.
Le C20 de la Turquie est coordonné par un groupe de 14 organismes turcs de la société civile qui
œuvrent à répondre aux iniquités et à promouvoir un développement durable et inclusif aux échelons
national et international. Nous sommes ravis de prendre en charge la coordination du C20, cette année.
Nous donnons aujourd’hui le coup d’envoi au C20 de 2015 avec un sondage en ligne multilingue pour
déterminer l’ordre du jour de la prochaine année. Ce sondage est ouvert à tous, et nous vous
encourageons vivement à y participer. Le sondage, ouvert environ 6 semaines, constitue la première
phase du processus de consultation sur les politiques de 2015. Pour des informations sur les prochaines

Au sujet du C20
Le C20 est une plateforme permettant à des organismes de la société civile du monde entier d’interagir
avec les gouvernements du G20 sur des enjeux clés qui les touchent. Il rassemble la société civile pour
influencer le G20, en servant d’interface avec les décideurs de ce groupe. Initialement coordonné par la
société civile de la Russie, le C20 est un groupe d’implication officiellement reconnu par le G20. Le C20 a
été hébergé à tour de rôle par la société civile de la Russie (2013) et de l’Australie (2014), et il l’est à
présent par celle de la Turquie.

Le C20 de la Turquie est coordonné par un groupe de 14 organismes turcs de la société civile œuvrant à
divers enjeux nationaux et internationaux.
C20 de la Turquie
Chaque année depuis ses débuts, le C20 a mené un processus de consultation sur les politiques afin
d’impliquer des organismes nationaux et internationaux de la société civile, dans le développement de
recommandations de politiques conjointes à l’intention du G20. Ces recommandations sont ensuite
utilisées comme fondement d’un plaidoyer conjoint et pour influencer la collaboration avec les
gouvernements du G20 tout au long de la présidence. Vous pouvez lire les recommandations du C20 de
l’Australie ici. Cette année, le C20 de la Turquie veut élargir ce processus de consultation et le rendre plus
participatif que jamais. Nous utilisons un éventail de mécanismes de consultation en ligne et hors ligne
