Drupal developer
"EDIT - Towards a European Distributed Institute of
Taxonomy" (EU Network of Excellence of major taxonomic
institutions - a 5-year project).
The Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle (Paris, France) has
an open short-term position for a Drupal developer to update the EDIT website and change its
content management system.
Main tasks & responsibilities: Developing the new EDIT website under Drupal, putting it online
and ensuring its referencing by search engines. The website will have static pages, articles and
downloadable documents, separated in a public and a password-protected areas; an agenda;
interactive pages with moderated public upload; a forum, with a protected part; a blogging
interface. A mailing-list management system would be desirable.
Prerequisites: The candidate must have mastery of Drupal and its optional modules, website
development experience, and a good grasp of French.
Desirable: A familiarity with systematic biology as well as experience collaborating in a
transnational development project would be advantageous.
Duration: The position is open for 10 weeks.
Indicative salary would be 2000€/month.
