Ultrafast phenomena in molecules and condensed matter. Femtochemistry. Coherent control of
molecular relaxation.

Femtosecond laser technology (from 3µm to 180 nm – 1kHz system), molecular beam technology,
Imaging velocity mapping detection and any related electronics. Non-linear processes (Four-wave
mixing, heterodyne dectection)
Expertise in experimental development and conception :
1994-1995: conception and construction of vacuum system involving a supersonic molecular
alkaline beam and a quadrupole mass spectrometer
1999-2001: conception and acquisition of grant funding to build a supersonic molecular beam setup (larger flux) coupled to a velocity map imaging detector.
2002: Construction of a 400nm-pumped Non-collinear Optical Parametric Amplifier and the
associated non-linear mixing to produce tunable UV fs pulses.
