We have been learning how to greet friends and family when there is a Birthday. Below is
some of the language we have been using in class. Please have fun practising it with your
child.

(Pronounced SHJWOY ERZ UH KNEE VER SAIR – The ‘x’ joined up with the ‘a’ which follows it gives the sound of a ‘z’)
Quel âge as-tu? = How old are you
J’ai cinq ans
= I’m 5 years old
J’ai six ans
= I’m 6 years old
Asking for some of the party food
Je voudrais…… = I would like
Des frites
= some chips
Du poulet
= some chicken
Du fromage
= some cheese
Du lait
= some milk
Du jus d’orange = some orange juice
Du poisson
= some fish
Une limonade = a lemonade
Un gâteau
= a cake
