The Environmental Committee hereby cordially invites you to participate in the second
“Green Week” of the year from Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 April to celebrate Rio+20.
24/04 - Green economy, sustainability and poverty eradication (informal discussion)
What is the green economy all about? What is the progress so far in the implementation of
Agenda 21? Are multilateral environmental treaties possibly unlocking opportunities in the
context of Rio+20?
Join us for an informal discussion on Tuesday at 18:30 in CV 502 with the following speakers:

25/04 - Earth summit: Climate Wars > Episode 3: Fight for the future (movie night)
The chosen movie concerns the disputes among skeptics and promoters
of the climate change agenda. It is a clear, well-explained and
entertaining documentary and shows cases with scientific arguments
I that base all global climate change debates.
Join us for a movie night with the screening of the third episode of the BBC Documentary on
Wednesday at 18:30 in CV 201.
26/04 - An institutional framework for sustainable development and food security
(informal discussion)
What role do innovation, research and development as well as institutional policies play in food
security? Which institutions support innovation in the food system? Are genetically modified
crops instruments to improve food security?
