A BIG thank you to parent coaches Shawn McNabb, Tanya Phillips, Brad Seely, and Mark Rendall, as well as sponsor teachers Mme Shakur, Mme Pulsider and Mme Knoll for making this season possible for our students. Our badminton season is underway with a grade 5/6 and a grade 7 team thanks to parent coaches Cameron Bell (5/6) and Lisa Lachance (7) as well as sponsor teachers Mme Weghsteen (5/6) and Mme Knoll (7). Best wishes for a rewarding experience! An Evening of Art… … proved to be a very entertaining and successful event for our community again this year. The spotlight was on the students’ artwork which was very impressive! This is a great activity involving students, staff and parents working collaboratively and benefitting all involved as well as the greater community. Thank you to all the parents who supported and contributed to its success, and especially to parent Sally Donaldson for organizing and coordinating this wonderful community-‐oriented event. We are looking forward to the next one in two years! Have a great spring break! We had a very busy second term with a plethora of special activities and guest speakers/facilitators. Laronde students enjoyed a variety of experiences that truly enriched their learning thanks to their teachers and parents working together to enhance each child’s learning. One more week and we can all enjoy a very well-‐deserved holiday. I wish you all a very relaxing spring break! After the break Lundi / Monday 23 School reopens Around Laronde

HELP NAME A SCHOOL!
You can participate in local history and suggest a name for Surrey's newest
school! The Surrey Board of Education invites public submissions to help
name a new secondary school to be built at:
7278 – 184 Street
(Clayton North area)
According to school board policy, school names should reflect the history or
geography of the neighbourhood or community. Special consideration is
given to names that have significant meaning to students and members of the
community.
Submit your suggestions before 4 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 by email to
[email protected] or by mail to:
School Naming
Surrey Schools - Communication Services
14033 – 92 Avenue
Surrey BC V3V 0B7
Please note that typically, many different people suggest the same name, or close
variations of the same name. For this reason, and other considerations,
acknowledgements are not given to those who suggest a school name that is later
chosen by the board.
