PFA General Meeting
The next meeting will be on Wednesday 14th October at 08:45 in Espace Mandela
(Primary Picnic Building).
Back to school barbeque
This month we have a speaker from the Gift Box appeal which the PFA will be
supporting again this year. This charity donates gift boxes to children in Eastern
Europe. Come and learn more, including what is needed in the gift box

Thank you to all who attended last month’s meeting. The minutes of the meeting
can be found on the PFA section of the CDL website.
Halloween (primary school only): Friday 30th October, 17:30-19:30. The PFA
will host a “spook”tacular evening of family fun for primary school children.
Children and parents are invited to dress up in costume and visit classroom doors
for special treats! There will be music, apple bobbing, a pumpkin carving contest
and lots of trick or treating! The charity committee will serve pizza, vin chaud, hot
chocolate and water. Mark your calendars now!
More information about the event including candy donations, wristband sales and
the pumpkin patch competition will be sent to primary parents soon. We need
volunteers! If you can help in any way, please contact the Co-Chairs, Sabien ten

([email protected]). We are looking forward to a “Boo”tiful Night!
I-Spy Pumpkin (preschool only): Thursday 29th October. Each class will have
one pumpkin decorated and then the children will follow a special pumpkin trail to
find their class’ pumpkin and look at the others. If you would like to help make your
child’s class pumpkin, please contact your class parent.
Volunteers: The PFA is still looking for volunteers for the Bake Sale committee and
several upcoming events. If interested, please contact any of the Executive
Committee members.

Aarohan Charity
Hot chocolate and used uniform sale: Monday 12th October, 15:30, Primary school playground. All proceeds
go to the Aarohan charity. Looking for a new head of the Charity Committee. If interested, contact Vickie Hyam

Réunion mensuelle de l’APE
Prochaine réunion le mercredi 14 octobre à 08h45 à l’Espace Mandela (Espace

Barbecue de la rentrée
Une présentation sera faite concernant les DONS de BOITES CADEAUX, projet auquel
le CDL participe encore cette année. Ce projet caritatif concerne le don de boîtes
cadeaux aux enfants d’Europe de l’Est. Venez en apprendre davantage, notamment
sur le contenu des boîtes.(http://giftboxprojectgeneva.webs.com).
Merci à vous qui êtes venus à la dernière réunion. Vous trouverez le compte rendu

Fête d’Halloween (école primaire uniquement) : vendredi 30 octobre, 17h3019h30. L'APE accueillera une soirée spectaculaire d'amusement familial pour les
enfants de l’école primaire et leurs plus jeunes frères et sœurs. Les enfants et leurs
parents sont invités à se déguiser puis à passer par l’entrée des classes pour des
surprises ! Il y aura de la musique, un concours de sculpture de citrouille. Le comité
des œuvres caritatives servira des pizzas, vin chaud, chocolat chaud, eau, thé et
café.
Nous vous communiquerons très prochainement davantage d’informations sur cette
soirée, notamment sur les dons de bonbons, la vente des bracelets et le concours de
sculpture de citrouille. Nous avons besoin de volontaires ! Si vous pouvez nous
donner un peu de votre temps, alors contactez, Sabien ten Doeschot

I-Spy Pumpkin (école maternelle uniquement) : jeudi 29 Octobre. Chaque
classe va décorer une citrouille et devra retrouver sa citrouille en suivant un
parcours où il découvrira les citrouilles des autres classes. Vous souhaitez aider la
classe de votre enfant à décorer sa citrouille ? Alors contactez votre parent de classe.
Volontaires: L’APE recherche des volontaires pour le comité de la vente de gâteaux
(Bake Sale Committee) et des prochains évènements. Si vous êtes intéressé, merci de
contacter l’un des membres Comité Exécutif.
