POSITION TITLE:
Senior Gas Market Analyst

Energy Economics & Forecasting Department
& Data & Information Services Department
JOB HIGHLIGHTS
Monitors and reviews the short-term gas and energy market aspects and
developments. Monitor on annual basis the development of energy policies
worldwide and in specific regions Contributes to the scenario building for GECF
Model in his area.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs short term monitoring to review the gas market in all its aspects
(supply, demand, pricing, etc.);
2. Regularly reviews current gas and energy market developments;
3. Carry out any specific study requested in the Program of Work and/or by the
Executive Board;
4. Follow up the strategies of oil and gas companies in areas of downstream
(demand side);
5. Monitor and analyze main trends of energy policies in major consuming and
producing countries and related regions;
6. Develop a quarterly working paper on areas of his expertise and in relation
to energy market;

7. When required, assisted by the lawyer, analyze the evolution of institutions
and regulatory regimes for collective actions across energy industry;
8. Contribute to the scenario building for GECF Model in his area;
9. Monitor on annual basis the development of unconventional gas worldwide
in collaboration with the Energy Analyst and Energy Technology Analyst;
10. Monitor on annual basis the development of energy policies worldwide and
in specific regions;
11. Work closely with all the analysts of the Department on specific areas that
are not related to his expertise;
12. Carries out any other tasks assigned to him by his relevant superiors as
pertain to his background, qualifications and position.
