Pien's drawing-based
installations are unique
among contemporary
artistic practice. In the
Spring of 2002 he took
over Canadian Cultural
Centre in Paris and,
augmenting his drawings
with lighting and video
projections, bathed entire
rooms in a world at once
fanciful and grotesque.
