I found the Juno Beach Centre very interesting,
giving a modern and informative experience
regarding Juno Beach and the Normandy landings. I
found the Centre particularly good as it was
interactive and covered information concerning
troops from different nations, whilst also giving
background information on each country. I really
liked the “Royal Canadian Air Force” Temporary
Exhibit which was on during our visit.

Très intéressant. Nos élèves ont découvert
une réalité historique et le rôle du Canada
dans la libération de l’Europe. Bravo aux
vétérans qui ont eu l’idée de ce musée et à
ceux et celles qui ont contribué à son
édification.

Excellent. We finish our week-long trip to
Normandy by visiting the Centre. I’ve been
most impressed by the courtesy of the staff
and the fantastic museum. The exhibits are
first-rate and extremely informative. The
temporary exhibit room is really evocative.
The guided tour has been super too –
especially the chance to see the beach
itself. Thank you – and see you next year!

La vraie Histoire, présente une réalité qu’aucun livre
d’histoire ne pourra jamais enseigner. Nous sommes plus que
jamais fiers d’être Canadiens et de notre contribution à la
libération de la France. Les vétérans canadiens méritent que
l’on perpétue leur courage et leur ténacité.

Musée très bien conçu et une excellente présentation. L’histoire du Débarquement ainsi que l’histoire
militaire du Canada est parfaite. Je crois que les non-canadiens vont beaucoup apprendre du Canada !!!

An amazing, eye opening experience. Seeing the
history in person helped to put more perspective
on the matter than learning about it in school. The
museum was well laid out and the guides were
extremely informative and accommodating.

It was a moving experience to see the actual
location of events I had read about, studied and
taught to students over many years. The building and setting are excellent and give students a more realistic,
hand-on, understanding of what history is all about. The guided beach tour was very good; the guide
presented the information clearly and communicated in an articulate and friendly manner. I would
recommend the trip to other teachers.

We participated in the guided tour – which was quite impressive.
The guide was very knowledgeable and our students were quite
enthralled. The Centre provides an excellent opportunity to extend
the classroom experience to the real world. The displays and videos
are phenomenal; I wish I had these in my own classroom. It is a top
notch facility and has left the students with a sense of pride – to
see a bit of Canada and what others abroad think of us when they
visit the Centre! Keep up the fantastic job. It was my first time here
with a group but it will not be the last!
Pour nous, la visite du Centre est un
pèlerinage annuel qui fait partie de
notre programme. Nous amenons
nos jeunes Canadiens dans la région
pour qu'ils puissent mieux
comprendre l'histoire de la Seconde
Guerre mondiale. Personnellement,
je viens au moins une fois par an,
mais en 2006 j'ai pu aussi amener
deux groupes d'adultes (en mai et
juin). L'un des plus grands moments
de ma vie s'est passé le 6 juin quand
nous avons pu assister à la
cérémonie du Jour J avec Garth
Webb et les autres anciens
combattants. J'y ai éprouvé des
émotions inoubliables. Je vous assure
que Nova Languages continuera
d'appuyer le Centre Juno Beach en
2007!

C’est un musée très intéressant et à la fois ludique. La vidéo dans la
réplique de la péniche de débarquement est très impressionnante et
montre la pensée. Les pièces sont super amusantes et intéressantes. J’ai
beaucoup aimé ce musée.

Centre très accueillant. Le personnel est à l’écoute, prêt à nous aider. C’est intéressant de comprendre
concrètement quel fut le rôle des Canadiens pendant le Débarquement et la Seconde Guerre mondiale en
générale. Ce Centre nous permet de le faire de façon précise. Merci !

Absolutely stunning. Proud to be Canadian.
Informative. Emotional. Educational. How
can one visit the sites along the coast of
Normandy, ending with Juno Beach, and
not leave changed. The statue says it all. I
want to thank the veterans for helping us to
know and to remember.

Our tour guide was excellent. She was very knowledgeable
and the tour was quite informative. It helped our students
understand the Canadian contribution to WWII as well as the
lead up to and after D-Day. The museum’s shop has an
excellent selection of postcards and memorabilia. The staff is
very friendly, very well informed and seem passionate about
this Memorial. An excellent experience which made the war
real for our students. Thank you so very much!
