E MODIFICATION BULLETIN / BULLETIN DE MODIFICATION Page 2 / 6 1 OBJECT / OBJET To better meet the evolution of requirements and diversity of interconnection uses on industrial applications, especially during wiring process, ECT – SOURIAU decided to change the design of the stamped and formed #16 (Ø1.6mm) contacts. Both male and female contacts are impacted. Afin de mieux répondre aux évolutions et des diversités d’utilisation des systèmes d’interconnexion sur les applications industrielles, notamment sur lors du process de câblage, ECT – SOURIAU a décidé de modifier le design de ses contacts découpés roulés #16 (Ø1.6mm). Both contact types (male and female) are also impacted by a small design modification of the contact skirt with an increase of skirt length. Le précédent design de contact male était composé de 3 lèvres sur la partie active du contact. Le nouveau design est composé de 2 lèvres uniquement. Les contacts males et femelles ont été également légèrement modifiés au niveau de la jupe du contact avec une longueur de jupe revue à la hausse. This new design is compatible with the previous one. There is no impact on the contact performances, contact prices and crimping tools. Ce nouveau design est compatible avec le précédent, il n’y a aucun impact sur les performances, le prix des contacts ainsi que sur les outils de sertissage. Important reminder: stamped & formed contact cannot be used in the following connector series: VGE1 series / SMSIP series / UTV series and 838 series. ECT - SOURIAU takes the rights to deliver customers with previous design until the end of stock. Due to the fact there is no performance consequences, no stock return of the previous contact version will be accepted by ECT- SOURIAU. La livraison de ce nouveau design de contacts commencera en Septembre 2016. ECT – SOURIAU se réserve le droit de livrer ces clients avec les précédentes versions de contacts, et ce, jusqu’à épuisement des stocks. Aucun retour de stock de l’ancienne version de contacts sera accepté du fait que ce changement de design n’impacte pas les performances produits. PO 31 Form 1 Ind.
