The Visitation CWL is hosting this year's World Day of Prayer
service on Friday March 4th at 11:00 am at Visitation Parish. The
service was written by the Christian Women in Socialist Cuba. It
transmits their witness and experience of being Cuban and Christian,
even when their faith meant isolation within the country they
love. The service is open to all members of the parish and to other
faiths. We hope you can join us. A light lunch will follow.

3rd Sunday of Lent:
Every moment we have can
be holy, as God is ever at work in our lives. Many people
think the experience Moses had was a once-in-a-lifetime
event. The truth is that every moment is a holy moment.
The challenge is to continue to grow in our faith and love for
the Lord, so that we may recognize the many and varied
ways he is present with us. If we do this, we cooperate with
the Lord’s grace and help build up his kingdom on earth.
3e dimanche du Carême:
Le fruit de la
patience. L’urgence pour nous de changer et d’agir pour
donner des fruits se fonde sur la patience miséricordieuse de
Dieu.

Christ in the sacrament of reconciliation. Please remember

available throughout the entire day in every parish in the

Confessions is as follows:

Share Lent 2016:
Visitation Parish’s Children’s Church Program
Réunions…
The 3rd week of our pilgrimage
finds us in Indonesia. The word kampung has come to mean
‘slum’ in the local language, but its original definition is
‘community.’ Your support for Share Lent means that Try
Mopurto, who lives in a kampung, has been able to renovate
his home for his family, despite suffering from mental
illness. The community is coming together to support him
and his family. “My home is my heaven,” he says, “because
here we feel the meaning of brotherhood in the social life of
the kampung.”
are invited to attend an important information meeting on
March 3rd at 7pm regarding our upcoming Parish Picnic.
Déjeuner…dimanche le 6 mars après les messes. Venez
Share the Love: The 4:12 Youth
Commission invites you to our annual ‘Share
the Love’ event on Sunday, February 28th from
1:30 to 4:00 pm at the St. Simon and St. Jude
Parish Hall in Belle River. This year we will
create handmade prayer stoles to be gifted to a
special someone in your life. All materials will
be provided. Snacks and drinks will be served.
These hours can be used towards your
community service for Confirmation or OSSD
diploma. Ages 10 and up are welcome.
Squires Colouring Contest:
The Squires are
having their annual Easter
Colouring Contest. Children ages 112 can participate in this fun exciting event. Again this year we have
a category for parents. Each age
group will be judged and we will
select the best three out of each
group (1-4 years, 5-8 years, 9-12
years and parents). There will be prizes awarded for each
category. The colouring sheets can be found in the hall
foyer, please take a few minutes and pick one up. The
completed pages can be put in the basket which can also be
found in the hall foyer. We will be selecting the winners on
March 18th and they will be announced in the bulletin.

Applebee’s on Huron Church Road.
