Young Artists shine at the Galerie Old Chelsea
Twenty-two budding artists from the grade 6 class of Ms. Andrea Rolph at the École du Grand
Boisé will show their works at the Galerie Old Chelsea. The exhibit will run from March 25 to
March 31. The vernissage will be on Easter Sunday March 27 from 1 to 4pm. The works will be
for sale through a silent auction during the exhibit period. The proceeds will go towards the
celebration of the students’ graduation.
The student artists have worked with two associates from the gallery who talked to them about
colour, contrast, composition and various techniques. The student artists have been wonderfully
enthusiastic about painting on canvas for the first time and having the opportunity to exhibit
their work in a gallery. The exhibit will feature one work by each student. Please take advantage
of this opportunity to support the students and buy a work by the next generation of Outaouais
artists.

De jeunes artistes brillent à la Galerie Old Chelsea
Vingt-deux artistes en herbe de la classe de 6e de Mme Andréa Rolph à l'école du Grand-Boisé
exposeront leurs œuvres à la Galerie Old Chelsea. L'exposition se déroulera du 25 au 31 mars.
Le vernissage aura lieu le dimanche de Pâques, le 27 mars, de 13h à 16h. Les œuvres seront
vendues par une enchère silencieuse au cours de la période d'exposition. Les profits serviront à
défrayer les frais de célébration des étudiants diplômés.
Les artistes étudiants ont travaillé avec deux associées de la galerie qui leur ont parlé de
couleurs, contrastes, composition et de différentes techniques. Les étudiants ont été
enthousiastes de faire de la peinture sur toile pour la première fois et d'exposer leurs œuvres
dans une galerie. Chaque élève exposera une œuvre. S'il vous plaît, profitez de cette occasion
pour soutenir les élèves et acheter une œuvre de la nouvelle génération d'artistes de
l'Outaouais.
