The Exception offers a vast array of features all packed into a stylish cutting-edge design. Building on Rudy Project’s success in techno-ergonomic 8-base sport
designs (Ketyum, Rydon) and our revolutionary flip up technology, (RB3, Perception, Kabrio) the Exception is truly a design/technology masterpiece that has
incorporated all of our major technologies in one model – including the option to add RXability using our large (STD) or smaller (LX) optical inserts. RP Optic
polycarbonate lenses can be put directly into the frame or ingeniously added to our flip-up mechanism that attaches to the frame – offering two vastly different
functionalities and appearances. The Exception incorporates Quick Change interchangeable lens technology, adjustable Ergonose nose pads (to eliminate fogging)
and adjustable Kynetium temples equipped with our T-lock system (for a customized, total comfort fit every time and for every sport.) Advanced lightweight
Grilamid TR 90 frame material and techno-geometric wrap technology means you won’t even know you have them on! Sports enthusiasts and prescription wearers
of all types will swear by Exception after one wearing. The Exception is true breakthrough vision!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
TO REMOVE THE FLIPUP: Raise the Flipup, grasp the frames with one hand and the central fastener with the other. Turn the upper part of the fastener outward
so that it pops out of its housing (Fig. 1).
TO MOUNT THE FLIPUP: After inserting the lower part of the fastener, apply the opposite movement. If it is fastened correctly you will hear a “click” (Fig. 2).
TO RAISE AND LOWER THE FLIPUP: Control of the opening is guaranteed by a micrometric device, closure is ensured by a “click” at the end of the run (Fig. 3).
TO REMOVE THE LENSES FROM THE FRAME AND/OR FLIPUP: Grasp the frames as shown in Fig. 4-6-8. Grip the corner of the lens securely and slide it gently
out, turning it outward.
TO MOUNT LENSES ON THE FRAME AND/OR FLIPUP: Insert the lens in its housing with an upward rotation (Fig. 5-7-9).
ADJUSTABLE TEMPLES: the end of the temple can turn through a 360° angle with slight pressure (Fig. 10). The rubber terminals ensure perfect adherence and
comfort, also thanks to the T-Lock™ retention system.
TOTAL COMFORT SYSTEM™- ERGONOSE™: Adjustable nose pads in Copper-Beryllium with two soft interchangeable pads in Megol®. To adjust, bend the two
ends alternately until you get the most comfortable fit (Fig. 11).

SUGGESTIONS FOR OPTICIANS
Because of the low facial wrap this clip allows for strong prescriptions. Prescriptions as high as –10.00 are not a problem.
-For prescriptions below -4.00 use poly 1.5 index.
-For prescriptions above -4.00 we suggest to use aspheric 1.6 index lenses.
-Due to less facial wrap, lenses for this clip do not have to be compensated for power change
-Vertex compensation must be calculated.
-A backside anti-reflective coating is suggested.
-High index are not recommended for sports activities.

The easy-action flipup lens technology enables you to instantly see clearly
when light condition changes dramatically by flipping up the entire lens system.
Flipup can be removed from the frame with a simple click, allowing the RX or
PLANO configuration.

All opticians should have a vertex compensation chart that can expand on these numbers.
This is just a reference guide to evaluate vertex compensation and to decide whether or not this calculation must be done.
WARNING!
Exception‘s clip-on is made out of Grilamid TR90 and should not be overheated ! (or very slightly - low melting point!) to fit the prescriptions.
Lenses should be inserted playing with the elasticity of the material. Cold snap only. (Same technique applied with Direct Rx on plastic frames).
To clean the insert never use acetone or alcohol, use soap and water or ‘Rudy Project Lens Cleaner’.

ISTRUZIONI D’USO
PER TOGLIERE IL FLIPUP: Alzare il Flipup, impugnare con una mano la montatura e con l’altra l’aggancio centrale. Ruotare verso l’esterno la parte superiore
dell’aggancio facendola fuoriuscire dal proprio alloggiamento (fig. 1).
PER MONTARE IL FLIPUP: Dopo aver inserito la parte inferiore dell’aggancio applicare il movimento inverso. Se correttamente aganciato si verificherà un “click”
(fig. 2).
ALZARE E ABBASSARE IL FLIPUP: Il controllo dell’apertura è garantito da un dispositivo micrometrico, la chiusura è assicurata da un “click” di fine corsa (fig.3).
PER TOGLIERE LE LENTI DALLA MONTATURA E/O DAL FLIPUP: impugnare la montatura come in fig. 4-6-8. Afferrare saldamente l’angolo della lente e sfilarlo
delicatamente facendolo ruotare verso l’ esterno.
PER MONTARE LE LENTI SULLA MONTATURA E/O DAL FLIPUP: Inserire la lente nell’apposita sede con una rotazione dal basso verso l’alto (fig. 5-7-9).
ASTE REGOLABILI: la parte terminale delle aste è registrabile a 360° mediante una leggera pressione (fig. 10). I terminali in gomma assicurano perfetta aderenza
e confort, grazie anche al sistema di ritenzione T-Lock™.
TOTAL COMFORT SYSTEM™- ERGONOSE™: Nasello in Rame-Berillio registrabile con due morbide placchette di Megol® intercambiabili. Per la regolazione piegare
alternamente le due estremità fino ad ottenere la calzata ottimale (fig. 11).

SUGGERIMENTI PER GLI OTTICI
Grazie alla bassa copertura facciale, gli inserti ottici permettono il montaggio di lenti da vista di elevata gradazione. Le lenti da vista con gradazione elevata come
- 10.00 non costituiscono nessun problema.
- Per lenti da vista sotto il -4.00 utilizzare un indice poly di 1.5.
- Per lenti da vista sopra il -4.00, suggeriamo di utilizzare lenti con un indice asferico di 1.6.
- Grazie alla minore copertura facciale, le lenti per questi inserti ottici non necessitano di essere compensate per il cambio di potenza.
- La compensazione assiale deve essere calcolata.
- Si suggerisce un rivestimento anti-riflesso del retro.
- Per le attività sportive non sono raccomandati indici alti.
Le lenti negative si mettono più vicino all'occhio / le positive più lontano.
POTENZA
La tecnologia delle lenti flipup ti permette di sollevare con un movimento facile
e veloce le lenti quando la luce diminuisce bruscamente. Il flipup può essere
rimosso dalla montatura con un semplice clic, permettendo la configurazione
RX o PLANO.

Tutti gli ottici devono avere una tabella di compensazione assiale che può estendersi su queste gradazioni.
Questa è solo una guida di riferimento per valutare la compensazione assiale e per decidere se questo calcolo deve essere effettuato.
ATTENZIONE!
Gli inserti ottici Exception sono realizzati in Grilamid TR90 e non devono essere surriscaldati! (neanche leggermente - punto di fusione basso!) per adattare le
lenti da vista. - Le lenti devono essere inserite giocando sull'elasticità del materiale. Solamente con scatto a freddo. (Stessa tecnica applicata con sistema diretto
Rx su montature di plastica).
Non pulire mai l'inserto con acetone o alcool, usare acqua e sapone o il prodotto Rudy Project per lenti.

Exception besitzt dank der von Rudy Project entwickelten Technologie wie um
360° verstellbare Bügel und einstellbaren Nasensteg (Ergonose), einen
unvergleichlichen Tragekomfort und besitzt Bügel aus einem revolutionären
und ultraleichtem Material (Kynetium™), das seit jeher vom Ingenieurwesen
der Luft- und Raumfahrt eingesetzt wird.
ANLEITUNGEN
ENTFERNEN DES FLIP UP-CLIPS: Den Flip Up-Clip hochheben, mit einer Hand die Brillenfassung festhalten und mit der anderen den mittleren Einrastteil. Die
obere Seite des Einrastteils nach außen drehen und aus dem Sitz nehmen (Abb. 1).
MONTAGE DES FLIP UP-CLIPS: Nachdem die untere Seite des Einrastteils eingesetzt wurde, den Clip nach innen drehen. Wird der Vorgang korrekt vorgenommen,
ist ein „Klick“ zu hören (Abb. 2).
AUFKLAPPEN UND SENKEN DES FLIP UP-CLIPS: Das Aufklappen wird von einer Mikrometervorrichtung garantiert und das Schließen von einem “Klick” des
Endanschlages (Abb. 3).
ENTFERNEN DER GLÄSER VON DER FASSUNG U/OD. FLIP UP-CLIP: Die Brillenfassung wie in den Abb. 4-6-8 ersichtlich, festhalten. Den Rand des Glases
festhalten und behutsam herausziehen, indem es nach außen gedreht wird.
MONTAGE DER GLÄSER IN DER FASSUNG U/OD. FLIP UP-CLIP: Das Glas mit einer Drehung von unten nach oben in den zweckentsprechenden Sitz einsetzen
(Abb. 5-7-9).
VERSTELLBARE BRILLENBÜGEL: die Bügelenden können mit einem leichten Druck um 360° verstellt werden (Abb. 10). Dank des Rückhaltesystems T-Lock™
garantieren die Gummi-Enden einen perfekten Sitz und Komfort.
TOTAL COMFORT SYSTEM™- ERGONOSE™: verstellbare Nasenstege aus Kupfer-Beryllium mit zwei weichen, austauschbaren Nasenplättchen aus Megol®.
Zur Einstellung die beiden Enden so lange abwechselnd biegen, bis der optimale Sitz der Brille erzielt wurde (Abb. 11).
Beraten sie die Anleitungen zur Garantie, Wartung und Pflege Ihrer Rudy Projekt-Brillen.
EMPFEHLUNGEN FÜR DIE OPTIKER
Dank der niedrigen Gesichtsabdeckung, ermöglichen die optischen Einsätze die Montage von Gläsern mit hoher Sehstärke. Gläser mit hoher Sehstärke wie -10.00
sind kein Problem.
- Für Gläser unter -4.00 muss ein Poly-Index von 1.5 angewendet werden.
- Für Gläser über -4.00, empfehlen wir, Gläser mit einem asphärischen Index von 1.6 anzuwenden.
- Dank der niedrigen Gesichtsabdeckung, müssen die Gläser für diese optischen Einsätze nicht für einen Stärkenwechsel ausgeglichen werden.
- Die Achsenausgleichung muss berechnet werden.
- Es wird eine Anti-Reflex-Beschichtung der Rückseite empfohlen.
- Für sportliche Aktivitäten werden keine hohen Indexe empfohlen.
Die negativen Gläser werden nahe des Auges getragen / die positiven entfernter.

STÄRKE
Die Technologie der Flip Up-Gläser ermöglicht Ihnen, die Gläser mit einer
raschen und leichten Bewegung hochzuklappen, wenn sich das Licht unerwartet
reduziert. Der Flip Up-Clip kann mit einem einfachen Klick von der Fassung
entfernt werden und es kann eine RX bzw. PLANO-Konfiguration vorgenommen
werden.

Alle Optiker müssen eine axiale Ausgleichstabelle, die sich auf diese Sehstärken beziehen besitzen.
Das ist nur eine Bezugsliste, um den axialen Ausgleich zu bewerten und ob diese Berechnung vorgenommen werden muss.
ACHTUNG!
Die optischen Einsätze Exception wurden aus Grilamid TR90 hergestellt und dürfen zur Anpassung der Sehgläser nicht erhitzt werden! (nicht einmal sehr leicht
– sehr niedriger Schmelzpunkt!). Die Gläser müssen durch Nutzung der Materialelastizität eingesetzt werden. Nur mit einer Einrastung mit kaltem Material.
(Die gleiche Technik gilt für das direkte Rx-System bei Kunststofffassungen).
Den Einsatz niemals mit Azeton bzw. Alkohol reinigen, nur Seifenwasser bzw. Gläserreinigungsmittel Rudy Project benützen.

Exception™ offre une vestibilité incomparable grâce aux technologies
développées par Rudy Project, des branches réglables à 360° et un appui-aunez réglable (Ergonose™), et il utilise pour les branches un matériau
révolutionnaire et ultra-léger (Kynetium™) utilisé depuis longtemps par
l'ingénierie aérospatiale.
INSTRUCTIONS D'UTILISATION
POUR ENLEVER LE FLIPUP : Lever le Flipup, saisir avec une main la monture et avec l'autre le crochet central. Tourner vers l'extérieur la partie supérieure du
crochet en le faisant sortir de son logement (Fig. 1).
POUR MONTER LE FLIPUP : Après avoir inséré la partie inférieure du crochet, appliquer le mouvement opposé. L’accrochage se fait par un "clic" (Fig. 2).
LEVER ET BAISSER LE FLIPUP : Le contrôle de l'ouverture est garanti par un dispositif micrométrique, la fermeture est assurée par un "clic" de fin de course
(Fig. 3).
POUR ENLEVER LES VERRES DE LA MONTURE ET/OU DU FLIPUP : Saisir la monture comme indiqué dans la Fig. 4-6-8. Saisir bien fort avec l’autre main l'angle
du verre et le tirer délicatement en le faisant tourner vers l’extérieur.
POUR MONTER LES VERRES SUR LA MONTURE ET/OU SUR LE FLIPUP : Insérer le verre dans son logement avec une rotation du bas vers le haut (Fig. 5-7-9).
BRANCHES RÉGLABLES : La partie finale des branches est réglable à 360° par une légère pression (Fig. 10). Les embouts en caoutchouc assurent, grâce aussi
au système de rétention T-Lock™, une adhérence et un confort parfaits.
TOTAL COMFORT SYSTEM™- ERGONOSE™ : Appui-au-nez en Cuivre-Béryllium réglable avec deux plaquettes douces de Megol® interchangeables. Pour le
réglage, appuyer de façon alternée sur les deux extrémités jusqu'à obtention du maintien optimal (Fig. 11).

CONSEILS POUR LES OPTICIENS
Grâce à la petite couverture faciale, les inserts optiques permettent le montage de verres de vue ayant une gradation élevée. Les verres de vue avec une gradation
élevée comme -10.00 ne constituent aucun problème.
- Pour verres de vue au-dessous de -4,00, utiliser un indice poly de 1,5.
- Pour verres de vue au-dessus de -4,00, on suggère d'utiliser des verres avec un indice asphérique de 1,6.
- Grâce à une couverture faciale plus petite, les verres pour ces inserts optiques n'ont pas besoin d'être compensés pour le changement de puissance.
- La compensation axiale doit être calculée.

PUISSANCE
La technologie des verres Flip-up permet de soulever avec un mouvement
facile et rapide les verres quand la lumière diminue brusquement. Le Flip-up

ATTENTION!
Les inserts optiques Exception sont réalisés en Grilamid TR90 et ils ne doivent pas être surchauffés (même pas légèrement - point de fusion bas) pour adapter
les verres de vue ! Les verres doivent être insérés en jouant sur l'élasticité du matériau. Uniquement par déclenchement à froid. (Même technique appliquée
avec le système direct Rx sur des montures en plastique.)
Ne jamais nettoyer l’insert avec de l’acétone ou de l’alcool. Utiliser de l’eau et du savon ou le produit Rudy Project.

Exception ofrece una vestibilidad incomparable gracias a las tecnologías
desarrolladas por Rudy Project, patillas regulables a 360° y zona de apoyo
nasal también regulable (Ergonose), utilizando para las patillas un material
revolucionario y ultraligero (Kynetium™), adoptado desde hace tiempo por la
ingeniería aerospacial.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
PARA EXTRAER EL FLIPUP: Levantar el Flipup, empuñar con una mano la montura y con la otra el enganche central. Girar hacia el externo la parte superior del
enganche hasta que salga de su sede (Fig. 1).
PARA MONTAR EL FLIPUP: Después de haber introducido la parte inferior del enganche aplicar el movimiento contrario. Si está correctamente enganchado se
verificará un “clic” (Fig. 2).
LEVANTAR Y BAJAR EL FLIPUP: El control de la apertura está garantizado por un dispositivo micrométrico, el cierre está asegurado por un “clic” de la terminación
de la carrera (Fig. 3).
PARA EXTRAER LAS LENTES DE LA MONTURA Y/O DEL FLIPUP: empuñar la montura como en la Fig. 4-6-8. Sujetar firmemente el extremo de la lente y extraer
delicadamente haciéndolo girar hacia el externo.
PARA MONTAR LAS LENTES EN LA MONTURA Y/O DEL FLIPUP: Introducir la lente en la correspondiente sede con una rotación desde abajo hacia arriba (Fig. 57-9).
PATILLAS REGULABLES: la parte terminal de las patillas se puede regular a 360° mediante una ligera presión (Fig. 10). Las partes terminales de goma aseguran
una perfecta adherencia y confort, gracias también al sistema de retención T-Lock™.
TOTAL COMFORT SYSTEM™- ERGONOSE™: La zona de apoyo nasal de Cobre-Berilio regulable con dos blandas plaquetas de Megol® intercambiables. Para la
regulación doblar alternamente los dos extremos hasta obtener un ajuste óptimo (Fig. 11).

SUGERENCIAS PARA LOS ÓPTICOS
Gracias a la baja cobertura facial, los insertos ópticos permiten montar lentes de vista de elevada gradación. Las lentes de vista con gradación elevada como 10.00 no constituyen ningún problema.
- Para las lentes de vista inferiores al -4.00 utilizar un índice poly de 1.5.
- Para las lentes de vista superiores al -4.00, aconsejamos que se utilicen lentes con un índice asférico de 1.6.
- Gracias a la menor cobertura facial, las lentes para estos insertos ópticos no necesitan ser compensadas por el cambio de potencia.
- Se tiene que calcular la compensación axial.
- Se sugiere un revestimiento anti-reflejo de la parte posterior.
- Para las actividades deportivas no se recomiendan índices altos.
Las lentes negativas se colocan más cerca del ojo / las positivas más lejos.
POTENCIA
La tecnología de las lentes flipup te permite levantar con un movimiento fácil
y rápido las lentes cuando la luz disminuye bruscamente. El flipup se puede
extraer de la montura con un simple clic, permitiendo la configuración RX o
PLANO.

Todas los ópticos tienen que poseer una tabla de compensación axial que pueda extenderse en estas gradaciones.
Esta es sólo una guía de referencia para evaluar la compensación axial y para decidir si se tiene que efectuar este cálculo.
¡CUIDADO!
Los insertos ópticos Exception se realizan en Grilamid TR90 y no se tienen que sobrecalentar (ni siquiera en forma ligera - punto de fusión bajo) para adaptar
las lentes de vista. Las lentes se tienen que colocar aprovechando la elasticidad del material. Solamente con enganche en frío. (la misma técnica que se aplica
con sistema directo Rx en monturas de plástico).

Exception proporciona uma vestibilidade incomparável graças às tecnologias
desenvolvidas pela Rudy Project, hastes ajustáveis a 360° e apoio no nariz
ajustável (Ergonose), e utiliza para as hastes um material revolucionário e
ultra-ligeiro (Kynetium™), adoptado já há tempos na engenharia aeroespacial.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
TO REMOVE THE FLIPUP: Raise the Flipup, grasp the frames with one hand and the central fastener with the other. Turn the upper part of the fastener outward
so that it pops out of its housing (Fig. 1).
TO MOUNT THE FLIPUP: After inserting the lower part of the fastener, apply the opposite movement. If it is fastened correctly you will hear a “click” (Fig. 2).
TO RAISE AND LOWER THE FLIPUP: Control of the opening is guaranteed by a micrometric device, closure is ensured by a “click” at the end of the run (Fig. 3).
TO REMOVE THE LENSES FROM THE FRAME AND/OR FLIPUP: Grasp the frames as shown in Fig. 4-6-8. Grip the corner of the lens securely and slide it gently
out, turning it outward.
TO MOUNT LENSES ON THE FRAME AND/OR FLIPUP: Insert the lens in its housing with an upward rotation (Fig. 5-7-9).
ADJUSTABLE TEMPLES: the end of the temple can turn through a 360° angle with slight pressure (Fig. 10). The rubber terminals ensure perfect adherence and
comfort, also thanks to the T-Lock™ retention system.
TOTAL COMFORT SYSTEM™- ERGONOSE™: Adjustable nose pads in Copper-Beryllium with two soft interchangeable pads in Megol®. To adjust, bend the two
ends alternately until you get the most comfortable fit (Fig. 11).
SUGESTÕES PARA OS OCULISTAS
Graças à baixa cobertura facial, as aplicações ópticas permitem montar lentes de óptica de graduação elevada. As lentes de óptica com graduação elevada como
- 10.00 não constituem nenhum problema.
- Para lentes de óptica inferiores a -4.00 utilizar um índice poly de 1.5.
- Para lentes de óptica superiores a -4.00, sugerimos utilizar lentes com um índice asférico de 1.6.
- Graças à inferior cobertura facial, as lentes para estas aplicações ópticas não necessitam de ser compensadas para a troca de potência.
- A compensação axial deve ser calculada.
- Sugere-se um revestimento anti-reflexo da parte detrás.
- Para as actividades desportivas são recomendados índices altos.
As lentes negativas devem ser postas mais próximas dos olhos / as positivas mais afastadas.
POTÊNCIA
A tecnologia das lentes flipup permite levantar as lentes com um movimento
fácil e rápido quando a luz diminuir repentinamente. O flipup pode ser retirado
da armação com um simples clique, permitindo a configuração RX ou PLANO.

Todos os oculistas devem ter uma tabela da compensação axial que pode abranger estas graduações.
Esta é apenas uma referência para avaliar a compensação axial e para decidir se este cálculo deve ser efectuado.
ATENÇÃO!
As aplicações ópticas Exception são realizadas em Grilamid TR90 e não devem ser sobreaquecidas! (nem levemente – ponto de fusão baixo!) para adaptar as
lentes de óptica. As lentes devem ser inseridas aproveitando a elasticidade do material. Apenas com engate a frio. (Mesma técnica aplicada com sistema directo
Rx em armações de plástico).
Nunca limpar a aplicação com acetona ou álcool, usar água e sabão ou o produto da Rudy Project para lentes.
