Professional Experience

Senior Research - Biostatistician LSTM – MLW: June 2011 – December 2011
Main duties: (1) Establish a unified data repository and biostatistical research team at
the University of Malawi, College of Medicine; (2) Oversee the Data and Statistics
Department at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Programme
(MLW); Provide statistical support activities to the MLW research staff; (3) Deliver
undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and seminars.

Regional Coordinator WHO/TDR – PSI: January 2010 – May 2011
Main duties: (1) Provide general coordination and leadership for “External Evaluation
of the Impact of PSI’s Intervention of Community Case Management of Childhood
Illnesses on all Causes Childhood Mortality” in Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo
and Malawi. (2) Developing detailed and standard study protocols and comparable data
collection instruments for each study site. (3) Facilitating and coordinating data entry
and management at each site, including cleaning and proper backup procedures. (4)
Coordinating data analysis and participating in the preparation of publications on the
study results. (5) Preparing annual progress reports to be submitted to TDR, PSI and
the donor.
