THE Board of Trade have received, through
the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy
of a Telegram from the Governor of Gibraltar,
reporting 14 days' quarantine oa arrival from
India with foul bills of health.

THE Board of Trade have received, through
the-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, a
copy of a Despatch from Her Majesty's Representative at Constantinople, inclosing the following Notice respecting the increase of quarantine
against Bombay in Turkish ports: -=Telegramme Circulaire aux Offices de Sante en
date du° Janvier 25-6, 1897.
Par decision du Conseil Superieur de Sante
les navires avec pelerins provenant de 1'Indoustan.

y compris Kurachee, subiront une quarantaine
de quinze jours an lazaret, avec disinfection tr&s
rigoureuse des effets, hardes et bagages des
p&lerins, lesquels seront debarques, ainsi que
des marchandises susceptibles. Copendant les
soieries et les objets neufs seront simplement
exposes a 1'air et au soleil.
Les navires do memes provenance sur lesquels
des cus de peste sc seraient manifestes pendant la
traversee ou a l'arrive"e au lazaret, auront lafaculte
de retourner, avec les pelerins qu'ils y auraient
amends, dans leur pays d'origine. Dans le cas
contrairenavire et pelerins subiront une quaranlaine
do 20 jours a partir du dernier cas de peste. Ces
navires seront en outre decliarges completement de
leur marchandise laquelle subira une disinfection
rinoureuse. Lcs objets suspects appartenant aux
pelerins seront incineres ainsi que tons les effets
ayimt appartenu a des personnes mortes de la peste.
