Al momento di
andare in

Contact, la
CIBPA si trova
impegnata su
diversi fronti e molte sono le
iniziative all'esame del
Consiglio di Amministrazione
per un futuro sempre più
brillante e per la promozione
dei suoi membri e della
Comunità tutta.
Certo, l'anno che seguirà,
sarà caratterizzato dai
successi ai quali il vostro
dinamico Consiglio di
amministrazione ci ha
abituati, a partire
dall'Assemblea Annuale dei
Membri dove si eleggerà il
nuovo consiglio, prevista per
il 13 giugno 2012.
È comunque importante
essere sempre molto più
presenti e partecipi alle
attività che vi sono proposte,
perché alla fin fine, è per
creare le opportunità di
networking per i membri,
cioé voi, che si organizzano
dette attività.
Quest'anno alle attività
abituali (dall'annuale torneo
di golf agli ormai
popolarissimi Power Lunches;
dalle visite industriali, alle
conférences-dînatoires, alla
premio personalità dell'anno
della CIBPA; senza
dimenticare le borse di studio
per i nostri giovani
universitari), si aggiungerà il
lancio della rifondata
Fondazione CIBPA (Fondation
CIBPA-CIBPA Foundation), con
un suo consiglio di
amministrazione e,
finalmente, la creazione
delle strutture
amministrative per il lancio
del Fondo di dotazione
capace di garantire ed
accrescere l'accesso agli studi
dei nostri giovani (Vedi " La
Mission de la CIBPA " a pagina
3 di questa newsletter).
Come potete costatare, lo
spirito di altruismo e la
volontà di crescita che hanno
caratterizzato la nostra CIBPA
sin dalla sua fondazione,
continuano a costituire
l'elemento portante, l'anima

elezioni del 2 maggio
scorso, con il Québec e gli
italiani del Québec tagliati
fuori dai ’giochi di potere’

Comunità Italiana che per

fa dal ministro delle finanze

A Canadian doctor has found
a promising way to detect
concussions using a simple
blood test that can tell within
the first hour after a blow to
the head how severe the
injury may be.
In what could soon become
the world's first blood test for
the brain, Dr. Linda Papa, a
Montreal native now leading
a U.S. National Institutes of
Health-funded research project at American trauma centres, has shown certain proteins released by the brain
after a head injury can be
detected in blood. [...] More
research is needed to validate the findings. But Papa
believes a blood test for
concussions will be available
in emergency departments
within five years.

Since founding Twins Delights
roughly two years ago, these
25-year-old twin sisters have
built somewhat of a cookie
empire across the city. [...]
Fully aware of the importance of differentiating
themselves from their com-
petition, they decided
against opening up yet another Montreal bakery. Instead, they focused their
attention on establishing an
online cookie-delivery service. [...]
Such attention to detail
seems to have paid off. Last
month, DavidsTea agreed to
sell Twins Delights in three of
their Montreal stores.[...]
