Ensure supply lines are flushed to remove any foreign matter before connecting to chiller unit. 2. CLEANING: The coil at the front of the unit and the vents on the side, must be kept clean from dust and lint. Regular checks of the unit should be conducted on a weekly basis and cleaning carried out as necessary by dusting with a soft brush and / or vacuuming. A damp cloth can be used to wipe the exterior cover down. Excessive build up of foreign material will result in poor ventilation, causing britex.com.au for more quality products the compressor to overheat and drinking water to increase in temperature. High pressure hoses and water jets should never be used to clean chiller units. 3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE: Immediately upon receipt of the chiller unit, carefully inspect the unit for any damage that may have occurred in transit. Any such damage must be noted on the carrier’s delivery documents. 4. Any hidden damage should be reported to The Britex Group as soon as possible. The unit should be delivered upright and the packaging intact. 5. If the unit is to be stored before installation then care must be taken to ensure no foreign matter can get into the water pipes. Ensure there are no burrs to the ends of the PE pipe. Connect one end of the supplied 10mm PE pipe into the push in connection of the straight adaptor. The opposite end of the 10mm PE pipe should then be connected into the ‘Water In’ push-in connection located on the top panel of the chiller unit. After inserting the PE pipe into the fittings, pull backwards to ensure that the pipe has seated properly. 1 JOGGLE STRIP DRINKING TROUGH LEFT HAND END PANEL RIGHT HAND END PANEL FRONT PANEL FRAME REFRIGERATED CHILLER UNIT REMOVABLE FRONT PANEL 2 4 6 7 3 2. Mark a horizontal line 145mm above the intended height of the finished trough height and extend to each side of the centre line using a spirit level. e.g. If a finished height of 700mm is required, mark a horizontal line 845mm above the FFL. 3. M ark a centre line onto the angled edge of the joggle strip (Part # 1) and position to the underside of the horizontal line of the wall surface previously marked within step 2. Ensure that the angled edge protrudes away from the wall surface. Mark the locations of the fixing points and then insert the appropriate wall fixings to secure the joggle strip to the wall surface. Check and ensure that the joggle strip has maintained a level position prior to completing all fixing points. 4. R aise the trough (Part # 2) and position the rear splash back turn down lip over the joggle strip. Lower the trough down allowing the joggle strip to take the weight of the trough, suspending it against the wall surface. 5. L ocate the left and right hand end panels (Part # 3 & 4). Assemble the end panels to the underside of the trough using the supplied fixing screws. Only hand tighten the fixing screws at this stage and ensure that the end panels rear fixing angle returns to face the underside of the trough. visit britex.com.au for more quality products 10. The TP6-R drinking trough is supplied with a standard 50mm waste outlet. The waste outlet should be connected to the drain network with the use of a discharge pipe in accordance to the Plumbing and Drainage regulations. 11. A short length of PE pipe is connected to the chiller pressure relief drain valve fitting. Outside drinking troughs may have this short length of PE pipe terminated to allow ground spillage if desired and local state regulations permit. Alternatively the line can be extended and connected to an appropriate drainage point. 5 1. Establish the position of the drinking trough, ensuring that the total width can be accommodated. Mark a vertical centre line onto the wall surface where the TP6-R is to be positioned. 9. All drinking bubblers on the TP6-R drinking trough have been pre-plumbed and a coiled length of 10mm PE pipe provided for the water supply from the refrigerated chiller unit. Uncoil the length of PE pipe from the drinking trough and connect into the ‘Water Out’ connection located on the top panel of the chiller unit. 6. L ocate the front panel and frame (Part # 5 & 7). Separate the panel from the frame by removing the screws from the two end returns of the panel. Take the front panel frame (Part # 5) and assemble between the two end panels under the trough using the supplied fixing screws. Check and ensure that all of the skirt panels are flush and square and then tighten all fixing screws. Appropriate wall fixings can now be inserted to secure the right and left hand panels back to the wall surface. 7. T he CWU-4 refrigerated chiller unit can now be placed within the confines of the trough’s skirting panels and mounted onto the wall surface using the angle brackets supplied with the refrigeration unit and appropriate wall fixings. Remove the brackets from the chiller unit and fix onto the rear wall surface. Ensure the brackets are mounted to an external, horizontal dimension of 470mm with at least 150mm clearance above the finished floor level. Once the brackets have been secured, the chiller unit can then be placed onto the brackets, sliding it towards the rear until the fixing holes line up into position, allowing the screws to be replaced securing the refrigerated chiller to the brackets. 8. The TP6-R drinking trough is supplied with a M-½” BSP – 10mm PE push in straight adaptor fitting. Install the adaptor fitting onto the water supply line, that should be located within the confines of the drinking trough skirting panels as shown within the 12. Check all connections to ensure that no damage has been caused during the installation process. When satisfied, turn the water supply on and press one of the remote bubbler buttons. This will allow air to bleed out from the chiller water tank and internal piping. Hold the bubbler open until a steady stream of water is flowing through the bubbler. This process should be repeated for each bubbler. Plug the power outlet from the chiller unit into the GPO located within the confines of the drinking trough skirting panels. Switch the GPO to the ‘ON’ position. The chiller unit will automatically start up. Check all connections a second time to ensure that there are no water leaks. The chiller unit will require 20-30 minutes to chill down the water to the optimum temperature. 13. The TP6-R drinking trough is fitted with Galvin TD15P Ezy-Drink remote drinking taps. Check the bubblers to ensure a satisfactory water height is present. The bubbler water height may need to be adjusted to provide consistency to each of the bubblers and to suit the available supply pressure. To Adjust The Drinking Bubblers: a. Remove the Blanking Screw. (Refer assembly drawing) b. Adjust the water height by turning the regulating screw. Multiple taps may need to be operated consecutively to enable a balanced flow to each tap. Note: The full range from minimum to maximum flow is only ¼ turn c. Replace blanking screws. ITEM ITEM NO.
