L’amélioration de la qualité de la matrice extracellulaire de la cornée participe à la diminution de sensation d’inconfort de l’animal. Les RGTA sont des polymères de carboxyméthylglucose sulfate. Ce sont des biopolymères de structure proche des héparanes sulfate. CLERAPLIQ s’utilise chez les chiens, chats, chevaux de sport et de course, NAC (Nouveaux Animaux de Compagnie).
