The Threaded silken self: it’s about going and meet people that are bonding together. Go from surprises to surprises in link with the energy of life and death. It’s an introspective journey but rejecting neither the other people nor the environment. It’s about a fleeting life that is quite important for the people; the constant reproduction that carries on the continuity of our passage. It leaves a trace of what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen. The living, the environment and the time are the three main elements of this creation. It’s about acting in complicity with the different elements and the performers. That’s what the creation is about: a dance between the self and the silk. Sensuality, energy, strength, and sweetness will determine the performers’ coloured body movements. Let’s use the rope, the wire, the floor and the space to develop and give a meaning to this creation. The body attached to the rope underscores the verticality challenging the gravity as well as the lost of balance. On the other hand, the rope brings out the horizontality of the show giving a sense of infinity, space and time. Mixing the contrasting desires of the dancer who wants to fly with the circus artist who wants to anchor the earth. This fragility weaves the thread of oneself with all the delicacy of the silk. Introduction What binds and connects us ? Relationships are not random events left to chance. Our experience tells us that we either walk together or we part ways. As a Calder mobile, formed by the tight wire, rope and the interpreters, the scenes created on stage tirelessly weave links between spaces and beings, always seeking balance in face of imbalance. A threaded silken self moves towards the one, or towards the many that bind us together to weave, unweave and recreate relationships over space and time. Four artists - dancers and circus performers, form a team of "me" to speak of a "self" between "us" and "you" – old and young ones without exception. Suspended between Heaven and Earth, we embark on a discovery of a new space of freedom. Marco, the stage manager, is a specialist in that field. Please contact him beforehand in order to check the feasibility of hanging the rope in a specific space. Animations There will be animations for children, their parents or their teachers. These animations (about the link created through dance and circus) will take place with the choreographer and/or the performers before or after the spectacle. Through games of looks, observation and concentration, children are invited to participate in a playful dance. During this dance, children will acknowledge the notion of space, perimeters, territories, borders and relationship (to the self, the others and the environment). In Venezuela, she works with the Taller Dance Company of Caracas, Jose Ledezma, and participates as a choreographer at the much acclaimed Festival of young Choreographers with Vis and Hacia la Noche. In 2001, she joins the Vocational Company Coline in Istres, France, under the direction of Bernadette Tripier with the participation of different choreographers i.e. Jean Claude Galotta, Angels Margarit, Michel Kelemenis, Thierry Bae amongst other. In Belgium, she works with Matteo Moles, Irene K and joins the Company Félicette Chazerand in 2008 for the creation of Spiral. Anna Buhr Dancer and rope artist Anna Buhr is defined as air dancer. In her research, she explores how gravity and the void can create an intimate dialogue between the body, the rope and space. Her work shows a character that is far removed from the stereotype of the air figure, and instead introduces the human being to the audience through its gestures; suspended by the force of one hand, the character displays both its fragility and its sweetness. _ Anna Buhr graduated in 2000 from the Graduate School of Circus Arts in Brussels (ESAC). Since then she has continued to develop her experiences of interpretation with circus companies, but also in the world of theatre and dance. Her encounters have led her to work for companies with very diverse artistic qualities. Her debut was in 2001 with "le Cirque des Oiseaux fous". Then in 2002, she developed her own work in Cie Acouphène. In parallel, she joined the theatrical show "Sans famille," with le Théâtre du Préau. In 2004, she flew to Japan to join the troupe Cahin Caha in the show " Grimm". She then worked for la Cie de la Valise and collaborated with the composer Simon Thiérrée on the duet " Zail ". In 2006, she created the play " Mue " under the direction of Gaelle Bisellach Roig (Cie de la Manoeuvre) . In 2008, she joined the artists of Circus Marcel with Belgian Circus Tent. In 2009, she was asked to manipulate the giant spider designed by la Cie de la Machine on the project "les Mécaniques Savantes "(Yokoama / Japan) and the German choreographer Stefan Dreher invited her on the project" Save all Dogs ". As a dialogue between circus and dance, Anna chose to create her own company, la compagnie du Cardage with dancer Elodie Donaque: a dance circus, dance choreography. Jérôme D’Orso Dancer and tight wire artist Jérôme trained in circus arts at Théâtres Acrobatiques in Marseille. He studied and practiced acrobatics; rock, classical and contemporary dance ; hand to hand ; and specializes in dance on the tight wire. He is an actor - acrobat in various creations directed by Jonathan Sutton and burlesque and poetic performances inspired by the work of Beckett, Debussy and Calvino. He is part of the research group "Structure du jeu / Structure de l’écriture – Méthode Stanislawski" with Gardens structure. Jérôme has been practicing Tai chi chuan and martial arts. He trains in Axis Syllabus with Frey Faust and has become a teacher of this approach to movement. He is also an instructor in dance contact. _ In 2001 he created the " Art’s Felus " Company and performs shows for the street. Jérôme also dances for the company, Thierry Thieu Niang and with the performers collective, Ornic’art. In addition, Jérôme created new works with Entrop, the company that he started in 2008. From 2008 to 2012, he has danced with the company, Hors Commerce. Since 2008, his pedagogical activities have expanded to include teaching circus arts and contemporary dance. His ongoing artistic search has lead him in particular to create the ’12 mm tightrope ’, an area of freedom and expression onto which he transposes the potential of today’s dance. Marie-Cerise Bayle Dancer and trapeze artist As far as she can remember, there have been fireworks and people on stilts with excessive makeup (her parents are perched up high) , music " à toute brindezingue " , crowds in the street... At six, already, a small role in "le Soulier de Satin" of Paul Claudel, direction Jean -Luc Terrade. Then studying classical harp at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux, Aquitaine. Then the theater... Then the circus... to be precise, the aerial circus. After having graduated in 2003 from CNAC (15th promotion) in swinging trapeze, she rushed into great adventures of collective creations with different companies: Le Cirque de la Bavette, la Cie Parole Nomade, la Cie Kirkas Gaya, la Cie Tout Fou To Fly. Alongside these collaborative works, her ongoing questioning centered around themes of presence and movement; subtle and visible branches of the human being ; and openness and generosity . She later trained in kinesiology, lyrical song, dance and clowning with Caroline Obin, Paul Andre Sagel (at the CNAC in 2009). As a background to everything, over the past four years, she has been working with Mathieu Benayoune, her partner on stage. Gradually their common search narrowed to move them towards a love and a sense of art that looks at how society shapes us, including points such as strength, resistance, creativity and freedom. Four dancers occupy the space. The thread is pinched and everyone begins to pass each other, to be strirred. Then comes the bow. It caresses and creates the great approaches of a couple. A rope is hung; so that the artists can climb on it, swing it. That is a good start. The vivid coloured costumes and the new movements with the thread draw the attention.
