HOW TO USE STD-35e HOW TO LOAD THE FILM 1 3 2 4 7 * 6 5 1 2 3 4 Bend the leading end of the film 5 6 Insert the tongue of the film into the slit of the spool 7 8 Fit the Back Case over the film holder * Do not overlap on the film guide (2 places) Pull out the Rewind Knob to insert the film more easily Insert the film into the camera Push the Rewind Knob into the film (Turning the Knob slightly helps it go more easily) Rotate the Advance Knob 1 1/2 turns while applying pressure so that the film doesn’t go slack Secure the Back Case with rubber bands to keep it from opening. If the Back Case opens when film is inside, film will be exposed! Rotate the Advance Knob 4 full turns. You are now ready to take the first photograph! ADVANCING THE FILM COUNTER GUIDELINES As the STD-35e does not have a film counter, to know the current film frame you must keep track of the number of times you turn the Advance Knob. You may nee to write this down as you shoot a roll of film. Losing count may result in overlapping or double-exposed photographs. 1 2 3 4 5 Turn the Advance Knob 1 1/2 turns when film is first loaded Replace Back Cover. Turn Advance Knob four full turns After shooting the first photograph, turn Advance Knob 2 full turns Turn Advance Knob 2 full turns after each of the first 7 photos After the 8th photo, make only 1 full turn after each photograph 12 exposure film will yield about 10 photographs 24 exposure film will yield about 18 photographs 36 exposure film will yield about 27 photographs *If the Advance knob can no longer be turned, you have reached the end of the roll. *Do not turn the Advance Knob in the opposite direction of the arrow. REWINDING THE FILM (when the film is finished) Turn the Rewind Knob in the direction of its arrow and rewind the entire roll of film to its end. *Rewinding the film may be tight because of how the camera was assembled. If this is the case, rewind the film by turning both the Rewind Knob and Film Advance Knob at the same time, as shown in the diagram. *Do not turn the Rewind Knob until you reach the end of the film. *Do not turn the Rewind Knob in the opposite direction of its arrow. REMOVING THE FILM Rewind the film completely. Remove the rubber bands and lift off the Back Case. Pull out the Rewind Knob and remove the roll of film. *Do not pull on the Rewind Knob too hard or it will come off. **Continued on following page** LET’S TRY! BASIC METHOD FOR TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS 1 2 Lower the Shutter and close the Pinhole Window. * Be sure to set the camera on a flat, horizontal surface when taking the photograph. The camera tends to move when the Shutter is opened and closed. This may cause images to be blurry so hold the camera securely when taking a shot. For best results, secure the camera to a tripod. * * EXPOSURE GUIDE (OUTDOORS) Hold the camera steady with left hand and pull up on the Shutter with the right hand to expose the film (take a photograph). ISO 100 FILM Sunny 2-3 seconds Cloudy 3-4 seconds Night 10 minutes ISO 400 FILM Sunny 1-2 seconds Cloudy 2-3 seconds Night 5 minutes PRECAUTIONS 1 This camera is made of paperboard so protect it from getting wet and avoid high humidity. 2 When the camera is loaded with film, do not lay it in direct sunlight for over 20 minutes. 3 4 Do not touch the center portion of the Pinhole Sheet. Any fingerprints or scratched on the pinhole sheet will make it impossible to take photographs. 5 Do not pull out the Rewind Knob while taking photographs. You may exposure the film. Rewind knob should only be pulled out when loading/unloading the film. HOW TO USE STD-35e CHARGEMENT D’UNE PELLICULE 1 3 2 4 7 * 6 5 1 2 Inclinez l’extremite du rouleau de pellicule. 3 4 Inserez la pellicule 5 Inserez la languette du rouleau dans la fente de la bobine. La pellicule doit etre fermement maintenue dans les rainures. 6 Faites faire un tour ½ au bouton « avance » en appuyant pour ne pas laisser de mou a la pellicule. 7 8 Replacez l’arriere du boitier 9 10 AVANCE DE LA PELLICULE Tirez sur le bouton « retour » pour inserer la pellicule Enfoncez le bouton « retour » dans la pellicule. *Si vous tournez legerement le bouton, il s’enfoncera plus facilement. Placez les elastiques pour empecher l’arriere de s’ouvrir. Si l’arriere s’ouvre quand la pellicule est dans l’appareil, celle-ci sera exposee ! Faites faire quatre tours complets au bouton « avance ». Vous pouvez maintenant prendre votre premiere photo. Fixez c2 sur l’arriere avec les elastiques. *Utilisez le comme ecran a la lumiere quand vous prenez vos cliches. Comme le STD-35 n’a pas de compteur, c’est à vous de vous rappeler du nombre de fois où vous avez tourné le bouton, pour savoir à quelle photo vous en êtes. Vous devrez sans doute en garder une trace écrite, car si vous êtes perdu dans votre pellicule, vous risquez d’obtenir des photos en surimpression. Voici quelques indications : 1 Tournez le bouton Avant une fois et demie quand la pellicule est chargée pour le première fois. 2 Replacez l’arrière de l’appareil. Tournez le bouton « Avance » quatre fois complètes. 3 Après chacune des sept premières photos, faites faire deux tours complets au bouton « Avance » Après la huitième photo, ne faites qu’un seul tour complet après chaque photo. 4 De cette façon, un rouleau de douze photos permettra de faire environ dix prises de vue, un de vingt-quatre environ dix-huit, un de trente-six environ vingt-sept. Si le bouton « Avance » ne peut plus se tourner, vous êtes à la fin de la pellicule. Ne tournez pas le bouton « Avance » dans le sens opposé à la flèche. REMBOBINAGE DE LA PELLICULE RETRAIT DE LA PELLICULE Quand le rouleau est fini, faites tourner le bouton « Retour » dans le sens de la flèche et rembobinez toute la pellicule jusqu’au bout. Ecoutez et vous entendrez la pellicule se détacher de la bobine avant. Il sera peut-être difficile de rembobiner la pellicule à cause de la manière dont l’appareil a été monté. Si c’est le cas, rembobinez la pellicule en tournant les boutons « Retour » et « Avance », comme le montre le schéma. embobinez entièrement la pellicule. Otez les élastiques et soulevez l’arrière de l’appareil. Tirez le bouton « Retour » et ôtez le rouleau de pellicule. Ne tirez pas trop fort le bouton « Retour » sinon il se détachera. **Continued on following page** LET’S TRY! ISO 100 FILM Sunny 2-3 seconds Cloudy 3-4 seconds Night 10 minutes ISO 400 FILM Sunny 1-2 seconds Cloudy 2-3 seconds Night 5 minutes PRECAUTIONS D’EMPLOI 1 Cet appareil est en carton. Il ne faut pas le mouiller et le proteger de l’humidite. 2 Quand l’appareil est charge avec une pellicule, ne le laissez pas dans la lumiere directe du soleil plus d’une minute. Si vous laissez l’obturateur ouvert, la pellicule sera exposee. 3 4 5 Ne touchez surtout pas la partie centrale du stenope. Si vous l’eraflez, vous ne pourrez plus prendre de photos. Ne retirez pas le bouton « retour » pendant que vous prenez des photos, vous exposerez a pellicule. Ce bouton ne peut etre enleve que quand vous mettez ou otez la pellicule. HOW TO USE STD-35e EINEN FILM LADEN 1 2 1 3 3 4 2 4 7 * 6 5 Biegen Sie das Ende des Films. Ziehen Sie den Rückspulknopf heraus um den Film einfacher einlegen zu können. Legen Sie den Rollenfilm ein. Schieben Sie den Rückspulknopf in die Filmrolle. Drehen Sie dabei den Knopf leicht. 5 Schieben Sie die Zunge des Films in den Schlitz der Spule. Der Film sollte straff gespannt sein. 6 Drehen Sie Transportspule eineinhalb Drehungen mit Druck, sodass der Film nicht hängt. 7 8 Setzen Sie die Rückwand auf. 9 10 FILM VORSPULEN Sichern Sie die Rückwand mit Gummibändern. Der Film wird vollständig belichtet falls sich die Rückwand öffnet! Drehen Sie die Transportspule 4 volle Drehungen. Sie können nun die erste Aufnahme machen. Sichern Sie C2 mit Gummibändern und benutzen Sie das Plättchen als Lichtabschirmung wenn Sie fotografieren. Da die STD-35 keinen Bildzähler hat, müssen Sie sich die Anzahl der Drehungen am Vorspulknopf merken, oder bei mehreren Bildern sogar aufschreiben. Andernfalls können Überbelichtungen oder Überlappung die Folge sein. Beachten Sie folgende Tipps: 1 Drehen Sie den Vorspulknopf 1 1/2 mal nach dem ersten Laden des Films. 2 Setzen Sie die Rückenwand auf und drehen den Knopf vier volle Umdrehungen. 3 Drehen Sie den Knopf 2 mal vollständig herum nach jedem der ersten 7 Fotos. 4 Nach dem achten Foto machen Sie nur noch je eine vollständige Drehung. So ergibt ein 12er Film etwa 10 Aufnahmen, ein 24er etwa 18 und ein 36er ca. 27. Falls der Vorspulknopf nicht mehr weiter gedreht werden kann haben Sie das Ende der Rolle erreicht. Drehen Sie den Knopf nicht gegen die aufgezeichnete Richtung. FILM ZURÜCKSPULEN Drehen Sie den Knopf in Pfeilrichtung und spulen den Film so komplett auf; Sie können hören, wie der Film von der zweiten Rolle rutscht. Spulen kann schwergängig sein, da das Gehäuse eng gebaut ist, in diesem Fall bewegen Sie bitte beide Spulknöpfe in die gleiche Richtung zum Aufspulen. (siehe Diagramm) FILM ENTFERNEN Spulen Sie den Film komplett zurück, entfernen Sie die Gummis und heben die Rückwand ab. Ziehen Sie den Rückspulknopf leicht heraus und entfernen Sie den Film. Ziehen Sie nicht zu stark an dem Knopf damit dieser nicht abfällt. **Continued on following page** LET’S TRY! GRUNDLEGENDE HINWEISE FÜR DAS FOTOGRAFIEREN EXPOSURE GUIDE (OUTDOORS) 1 Halten Sie die Kamera ruhig mit der linken und ziehen die Belichtungsklappe mit der rechten auf; hierdurch wird belichtet d.h. fotografiert. 2 Belichten Sie wie empfohlen oder nach eigenem Urteil. 3 Schließen Sie die Belichtungsöffnung. ISO 100 FILM Sunny 2-3 seconds Cloudy 3-4 seconds Night 10 minutes ISO 400 FILM Sunny 1-2 seconds Cloudy 2-3 seconds Night 5 minutes VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN 1 Die Kamera besteht aus festem Papier bzw Karton, vermeiden Sie also Nässe und Feuchtigkeit. 2 Lassen Sie die Kamera nicht länger als eine Minute in direktem Sonnenlicht liegen, wenn sich ein Film in ihr befindet. Durch eine geöffnete Blende wird der Film belichtet. 3 4 5 Berühren Sie das Zentrum der Lochöffnung nicht, Kratzer könnten die Kamera unbrauchbar machen. Ziehen Sie den Rückspulknopf niemals heraus während Sie Bilder machen; ansonsten belichten Sie ungewollt den Film. Der Rückspulknopf sollte nur beim Einlegen oder Wechseln eines Films benutzt werden.
