Samira has had an outstanding first term in Geography. She is a hardworking, conscientious
student who is a joy to teach. Her effort in class is excellent, and she goes above and beyond
on all assignments. Samira asks questions in class that show her maturity of thought, and
she is able to make links between topics that we have covered and the world today. Samira's
friendly and helpful nature makes her a positive member of the class, and she is always
willing to work with others. Well done!
History 8

Samira has had an excellent start to the year in History. Her knowledge and understanding of
the topics we have covered is outstanding, and her written work shows deeper thought and
analysis. Samira approaches every task with focus and determination, and her results reflect
this attention to detail. Samira is a very positive member of the class, always willing to help
weaker students understand. I expect to see more of the same from Samira in the new year.

French 2A

Samira est une élève très plaisante: sérieuse, motivée, organisée, respectueuse et
volontaire, elle fournit toujours un travail de qualité en classe. Ses résultats sont excellents
et reflètent de solides bases en français. Afin de progresser au-delà du niveau de la classe,
il faut poursuivre des activités de découverte de la langue française authentique en lisant
des livres en français facile ou en empruntant des films en français par exemple!
ICT

Samira is a fine student of ICT, full of ideas and interest. Her work is of a reliably high
standard.
Science 8

I am delighted with Samira's progress, her evident joy in studying Science and her cheerful
participation in the work. Her work is of a consistently high quality, often going beyond the
material set, with ideas and innovations of her own. She has the makings of a great scientist.
Samira has contributed a lot to group discussions during Citizenship lessons and she has
added a level of maturity that has been refreshing. She has shown an adult ability to use
persuasive language during our debates. When creating sketches to illustrate some of the
qualities of global citizenship, Samira showed leadership, directing the group and focusing
the discussion. Well done!

Samira is an ideal student. She listens and participates well in class. She is conscientious
about her work and seeks clarification when needed and follows rubrics carefully. As well,
Samira takes reflection of her work as a tool to improve her next task. As a result, Samira
obtains excellent grades. Keep up the good work Samira, as we attack non-fiction next term.
Art /DT MS
9.8
The objective of this term was the study of glass, as well as drawing and sketching, in the
style of the artists of the Renaissance. Samira has carefully experimented with paint and
design and as a result has produced three very original pieces of glass art. In addition,
Samira has completed a third of her sketch book with careful shading and 3D sketches. Next
term, Samira will be working with a variety of materials to create self-led projects and will
continue to progress in her sketching.
Music MS
8.5
This term, Samira has had opportunities to learn notes and note values, bars, rests and
dynamics in music. Samira has been very enthusiastic about learning and can write and play
rhythm correctly with a set of mallets. Her percussion performance was executed with
positive energy and accuracy, and as a result Samira has attained an excellent grade in
Music. Next term, Samira will be learning scales and will be given the opportunity to read and
write a simple piece of music.
Mathematics 8 9
At the beginning of term Samira stated she was not good in math. How quickly she has
changed. She grasps quickly the concepts in class and is able to apply them to the assigned
work. As a result she has excellent results. She is a pleasure to have in class. I look forward
to the next term. Bravo.
Drama MS
Samira shows talent and real maturity in the Drama class, working extremely well with others
and taking the initiative in group work. I am very pleased with her work so far this year and I
look forward to seeing her progress over the course of the coming year. Well done Samira!

Samira est une jeune fille charmante, discrète, sérieuse et travailleuse au laboratoire de
langues. Bien qu’elle ait certaines facilités, elle fait tous ses exercices avec grande
régularité et application. Je souhaite qu’elle persévère dans cette voie fort positive.

Samira is a bright, enthusiastic student. She has a high level of maturity. Samira contributes
fully to group work and discussion and plays a leading role in group work. This was evident as
she organised the work on the smoking poster. I feel that she often holds herself back so
that others may have the opportunity to participate.

Samira has integrated well into school life at Brillantmont and has shown a mature and
positive approach to learning. In class, Samira is motivated to learn and shows a strong
drive to succeed. With excellent grade-point averages, Samira well deserved her place on
the Honor Roll. Well done Samira!

Vocal group
It has been a pleasure having Samira in BM's vocal group. Her participation is consistent and
her positive attitude is an inspiration for the rest of the group. We hope Samira will gain
enough confidence in her music skills and perhaps sing a duet or solo for our spring concert.
