Found during removal of soil at LeBreton Flats in 2013.
Dedicated to Lilias W. Fleck, wife of Alexander Fleck (founder of Vulcan Iron Works Co.), and erected by her children in 1892.
Son was Andrew Fleck, president of Canadian Atlantic Railway.
Son-in-law was Thomas Ahearn, who
o in 1887, founded Chaudière Electric Light and Power Company, later called Ottawa Electric Company
o was the first chairman of the Federal District Commission (1927 to 1932)
o was president of nine major companies, holder of six directorships, chairman of two public offices and holder of 11 Canadian patents
o also has a memorial fountain with bronze bust — donated by his son, Thomas Franklin Ahearn, in 1949 — now located near Aberdeen Pavilion in Lansdowne Park.

Elle rend hommage à Lilias W. Fleck, la femme d’Alexander Fleck (fondateur de la Vulcan Iron Works Co.); elle a été érigée par ses enfants en 1892.
Andrew Fleck, président de la Canadian Atlantic Railway, était son fils.
Thomas Ahearn était son gendre :
o En 1887, il a fondé la Chaudière Electric Light and Power Company, qui deviendra l’Ottawa Electric Company.
o Il a été le premier président de la Commission du district fédéral (de 1927 à 1932).
o Il a été président de neuf grandes entreprises, a occupé six postes d’administrateurs, a présidé deux charges publiques et a obtenu 11 brevets canadiens.
o Une fontaine commémorative ornée d’un buste de bronze, don de son fils, Thomas Franklin Ahearn, en 1949, lui rend hommage. Elle est érigée près du pavillon Aberdeen au parc Lansdowne.
