J STYLE+
The Japan External Trade Organization ( JETRO) organizes “J STYLE+”
at “ MAISON & OBJET 2013 (September)”, in which 14 specially
selected Japanese brands show off attractive products such as
interior goods, furniture and everyday items that reflect today’s
Japan. As a part of the “Cool Japan” strategy undertaken by the
Japanese Government, excellently designed products by Japanese
designers with talent and fresh sensitivity will be exhibited.

SERENDIPITY - a new platform for buyers, users, manufacturers
In this age of sophisticated computerization heralded by the Internet, we can now
all access and search for the same information no matter where in the world we are.
Consumers are therefore able to capture what they want even quicker than before,
and the gap between them, producers and distributors is closing. What the increasingly
sophisticated consumers of today are interested in are not only product value (a latent
Japanese resource) but also the philosophy of the creator, what they insist on, their
design, and their sense. Based on the concept of “SERENDIPITY”, this “J STYLE+” event is
a platform to introduce well designed Japanese products that bubble over with inspiration,
and present to makers, buyers and consumers formats for new ways of living.
