NORTH AMERICAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT
Joint Communication from Canada, Mexico
and the United States of America
The following communication has been received from the Governments of Canada, Mexico and the United States.

In accordance with paragraph 7(a) of Article V of the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), the delegations of Canada,
Mexico and the United States hereby notify the Council for Trade in Services that they are parties to the North American Free Trade Agreement,
which entered into force on 1 January 1994, and is of the type referred to in paragraph 1 of Article V of the GATS.
The text of the NAFTA was circulated to all contracting parties to the GATT 1947 (L/7176/Add.1, dated 29 June 1994).

Les gouvernements du Canada, des Etats-Unis et du Mexique ont fait parvenir au Secrétariat la communication ci-après.

Conformément au paragraphe 7 a) de l'article V de l'Accord général sur le commerce des services (AGCS), les délégations du
Canada, des Etats-Unis et du Mexique notifient au Conseil du commerce des services que leurs autorités sont parties à l'Accord de libre-échange
nord-américain, qui est entré en vigueur le 1er janvier 1994 et est un instrument du type visé au paragraphe 1 de l'article V de l'AGCS.
Le texte de l'ALENA a été distribué à toutes les parties contractantes au GATT de 1947 (L/7176/Add.1, en date du 29 juin 1994).

Se ha recibido de los Gobiernos del Canadá, los Estados Unidos y México la comunicación siguiente.

De conformidad con el párrafo 7 a) del artículo V del Acuerdo General sobre el Comercio de Servicios (AGCS), las delegaciones
del Canadá, los Estados Unidos y México notifican por la presente al Consejo del Comercio de Servicios que son partes en el Tratado de
Libre Comercio de América del Norte (TLC), que entró en vigor el 1º de enero de 1994 y es un acuerdo del tipo a que se refiere el párrafo 1
del artículo V del AGCS.
El texto del TLC ha sido distribuido a todas las partes contratantes del GATT de 1947 (L/7176/Add.1, de fecha 29 de junio de 1994).
