Cooking activity started in Fonda Neus in 1929, with Neus Comas and
her daughter Teresa Amat, married with Pere Carbó. It was by then
an establishment in the old tradition of coaching inns. Their son Pere
Carbó and his wife Montserrat Carbó continued this “food and lodging”
service, bringing the use of cava into the kitchen, offering a daily menu
and a service à la carte, always including some cava-based recipes.

L’activité culinaire à la Fonda Neus a commencé en 1929 avec Neus Comas et sa fille Teresa Amat, mariée avec Pere Carbó. C’était le temps des
chevaux, des charettes et des charretiers. Leur fils, qui se nommait aussi
Pere Carbó et qui s’est marié avec Montserrat Carbó Vilanova, a continué
l’activité, tout en introduisant le cava dans la cuisine et tout en offrant un
menu journalier et un service à la carte avec toujours quelques recettes
basées sur le cava.

At the moment Fonda Neus offers ten more rooms with wi-fi
equipment, air conditioning and TV, and four new lounges decorated
with references to the world of cava wine.
Nowadays, our gastronomy is based on the traditional Catalan
cuisine and a marriage of different elaborated dishes with cava
essences, always respecting the original flavours.
We offer also a breakfast service for everybody and the possibility
of taking the menu away.

Actuellement, la Fonda Neus possède de nouvelles installations avec
10 chambres de plus, equipées de wi-fi, air conditionné et TV, et quatre
nouveaux espaces décorés avec des motifs allusifs au monde du cava.
De nos jours, notre gastronomie est basée sur la cuisine traditionnelle
catalane et un mariage de plats elaborés avec l’essence de cava, toujours
avec le maximum respet pour les saveurs originelles
Nous offrons aussi un buffet petit-dejeuner, non seulement pour nos hôtes
mais pour tout le monde aussi, et la possibilité d’emporter le menú.
