René Pierre Allain
1993
Allain n’a
Toronto et New York.
Born in Montreal in 1951, Allain is constantly exploring different
and difficult media such as steel and plaster to create large, richly
coloured works with tremendous texture. He regularly re-invents the
spatial relationships of his graphic plane, reconciling the abstract with
the figurative, the implicit with the explicit. Since 1984, he has lived
and worked in Brooklyn and has shown in many important galleries
and museums in Montreal, Toronto and New York.
