Features
‡ Front
parking assistance system to facilitate the
parking and reversing manœuvre.
‡ Alerts the driver of detected obstacles at the front of
the vehicle, with an audible warning (buzzer).
‡ The 4 sensors are activated for 30 seconds when the
vehicle starts up, and are reactivated as soon as the
driver engages the reverse gear.

‡ It is recommended that installation is carried out by an

‡ It is not recommended to paint the sensors included in
this kit. If you would like the sensors to be the same
colour as your vehicle, choose paintable sensors,
available as spares.
Self diagnosis
‡ You
may have to replace the adapter ring (included in
the kit) around the sensor in order to obtain the required
inclination in the range of +/- 5° after installation on the
vehicle bumper.
‡ On metal bumpers, you must sometimes add insulating
ULQJV DURXQG WKH VHQVRUV WR ¿W WKHP RQ WKH EXPSHU LQ
order to avoid sensor vibration.
‡ Valeo
beep&park® helps provide assistance when
reversing and parking. Driving skills, such as slowing
down, use of mirrors etc. are always essential.
‡ Blocked sensors are preventing the system functioning
correctly. Make sure that the sensors are not covered
with mud, snow or ice, for example.

Valeo beep&park® system is equipped with a
self-diagnosis of sensors:
1. When the engine is switched on, the system tests
the 4 front sensors automatically.
2. When the reverse gear is selected, if all of the
sensors are working properly, the system beeps
once.
3. If there is a problem with any of the sensors, the
system beeps 3 times.

5. In case of crash, you can replace the concerned
sensor by one available in the Valeo spare parts
offer (www.smileyouaredriving.com).
Troubleshooting
1
A sound signal is triggered when there is no
obstacle at the front of the vehicle:

Once the reverse gear is selected, an obstacle at the
front of the vehicle is not detected by the system:

The system indicates a defective sensor (the buzzer
beeps 3 times):
1. Check whether the sensor surface is clean.
2. Check whether the sensor wires are plugged in the
ECU properly.
3. Check whether the sensor wires are damaged or
not.
4. Check that the sensor is not damaged.
If the problem persists, please follow these steps:
1. Contact the dealer where you purchased the
product.
2. Replace the product ECU and recheck the system.
