Office hours: 1 hour after the session, Friday 13:30-14:30.
Quizzes to be graded and handed back the week after they are taken at the end of the tutorial.
For discussion and questions regarding the quizzes, please come see me during office hours.
Do not take a quiz in a tutorial section in which you are not registered. You will not get credit
in this case.
Please add to the title MATH 141 and correspond with your official McGill email, as to avoid
your correspondence being treated as spam.
There are many sources of information, either Paul Dawkins’ notes, Pr. Sam Drury’s notes, the
textbook (Adams or Stewart or any other valid calculus reference). Work out examples and do
a lot of practice.
The Math Helpdesk, Burnside 911, is open 12:00 to 17:00 weekdays. There are two undergraduate tutors present at all time to help you. They are there to help you with questions and
concepts and not your assignment (WebWork) questions.
1
Tutorial session
The tutorials start with quizzes, followed by a quick review of the theory; the remaining time
will be spent on practice problems. Due to time constraint, only selected problems will be
done in the tutorial.
Quizzes grades will be accessible via WebCT. I may answer questions about WebWork system;
however, it is your responsibility to complete these problems on your own. I can help you
with the concepts.
Past exams for the course can be found on Pr. Sam Drury’s website or SUMS examination
database
