Quick and Easy Access to Patient Records
NDoc® makes it easy to quickly identify everything you need to know about the patient. The
patient stage for admission, transfer and discharge as well as the referral information. See at a
glance all the resources and caregivers assigned to the patient including staff, community
resources, unskilled staff and durable medical equipment suppliers. This helps the continuity of
care for the patient and better tracking for you.

NDoc® provides a color-coded key to guide the clinician through completion of the patient
assessment. The guide and assessment tools help clinicians more easily and accurately
complete the patient assessment.
OASIS
OASIS data can be entered back at the office or at the point of care to speed up the billing
process as well as generating a HHRG score. Once an OASIS assessment is made, a RAP (Request
for Anticipated Payment) is easily generated when applicable.
Plan of Care
NDoc® Care Pilot™ creates a structured, outcomes-based problem-specific patient care plan
that is automatically updated every visit. As your clinicians perform initial and ongoing
assessments, NDoc® continuously applies patent-pending, rules-based logic to identify new
patient problems and determine which existing problems have been resolved. Interventions
and outcomes relating to active problems are highlighted dynamically, drawing clinicians’
attention to current patient issues, yet providing a complete clinical charting environment for

Orders
Orders can be viewed and printed in the industry standard 485 format directly from NDoc® that
can be sent electronically and cost-effectively to physicians for digital signature. All patient

Scheduling

to appropriate resource management. Daily, weekly, and monthly schedules can be created,
viewed and printed for each staff member or resource. Maximize your utilization of staff for
better resource allocation. NDoc® scheduling can even be deployed in a decentralized model,
where professional staff maintains their own calendars that are then visible in the office. For
added convenience, schedules can be created by 60 day certification periods with both
centralized and decentralized simultaneously based upon the type of user.
PPS Billing and More
PPS billing is automatically generated once the patient, OASIS assessment and treatment are
entered into NDoc®. NDoc® Billing™ manages a multiple payer mix of Medicare, Medicaid,
managed care, commercial payers and self-pay.
Financial reporting is made easy with a summary and detailed accounting reports of billing
activity, adjudication, automatic posting, with analytics of adjustments. NDoc® Billing™
performs essential PPS billing tasks of RAP, adjustments of case mix for significant changes in
condition (SCIC), accurate episode rate, and automatic fee for service for Low Utilization
Payment Adjustments (LUPA).
Customized billing cycles are one of the many additional features of NDoc® Billing™. Others
include: export data with third-party accounting systems all the while meeting HIPAA
standards.

NDoc NCompass® is the platform technology used to manage data from all sources to provide

Scalable architecture
NDoc® Software incorporates a multi-tier architecture that distributes processing between
clients, servers, and a central database. This architecture platform can scale to any size
enterprise with unlimited users.
SQL Server
Microsoft SQL and Object Script are used as our database management system for its
performance, scalability, low cost of ownership, and easy access to data. Field staff use their
remote desktop’s Internet Explorer to launch NDoc® Software. The sufficient Ensemble
database license supports the direct connections from the field devices. The Client Access
Licenses supports the direct connections.
Field synchronization and real-time charting
The system supports virtually all Windows-based laptops, netbooks and tablets. Field devices
can be equipped for independent, standalone access to patient charts via local databases that
remotely synchronize with the home office system over a network connection. Alternatively,
field devices can be configured to access and update patient charts in “real time” over a
wireless broadband connection. In fact, NDoc® is one of the few homecare or hospice solutions
available that lets you “mix and match” real-time and standalone charting.
Synchronization uploads all field data to the home office database and automatically updates
the data in field devices, based on any changes made to the central files since the last
synchronization. Synchronization can be invoked any time a connection to the server is present.
Security
All data — from field to office, from clients to servers — is fully encrypted to maximize patient
data security and privacy. Access to data, functions, screens, and records is password-protected
and set by your system administrator. You decide which users have full access, read-only, or no
access to each individual function in NDoc®, including entry windows, reports, and processing.
