A POLITICALLY ENGAGED SINGER
Radio-Canada presents a compelling portrait of African singer Angélique Kidjo, a politically engaged artist working to change
the world in her own way. Benin-born Kidjo, now based in New York, has become an international celebrity. A UNICEF goodwill
ambassador, she appears on The Guardian’s list of the 100 most influential women on the planet. Kidjo also set up the Batonga
Foundation with the aim of helping young girls in Africa continue their education.

UNE CHANTEUSE ENGAGÉE
Radio-Canada présente un portrait exceptionnel de la chanteuse africaine Angélique Kidjo, une artiste engagée qui
souhaite changer le monde à sa façon. Madame Kidjo, originaire du Bénin et maintenant installée à New York, est
devenue une célébrité dans le monde entier. Ambassadrice de l'UNICEF, elle a été consacrée par le journal The Guardian
comme l'une des 100 femmes les plus influentes de la planète. Angélique Kidjo a aussi créé sa propre fondation,
la Fondation Batonga, qui vise à aider les jeunes filles d'Afrique à poursuivre leurs études.
