HISTORIQUE
Si l'oeuvre de Frank "contient des éléments intransmissibles et incommunicables" pour reprendre les termes de
Waldemar-George, elle est néanmoins reconnaissable à sa simplicité cistercienne et à ses proportions, à son rejet du
détail superflu et à sa puissance d'évocation. La petite table d’appoint ici représentée est coulée dans le moule de ces
assertions.
If Frank’s work "contains incommunicable and inalienable elements" (according to Waldemar-George), this table is
nonetheless identifiable through its cistercian simplicity, its proportions, its rejection of extraneous detail and its
evocative power. The small side table shown here, is cast in the mold of these assertions.
